You guys make me feel old. I just remember this sucker being seriously overplayed in the clubs in Canada...when I was a freshman in college. |

| Village People – Go West Lyrics

The Village People not only did it first, they did it almost twenty years before the Pet Shop blokes.
Amusing, priest. Amusing. |

| Simon and Garfunkel – Peggy-O Lyrics

Captain loves a girl.
Girl spurns Captian.
If pissed Captian returns, he'll burn cities in revenge.
Thats more or less it. |

| Alanis Morissette – Head Over Feet Lyrics

If Alanis is such a genius, why the hell did she date Dave Coulier? Corky from Life Goes On even knows better than to som something like that. |

| The Doors – Touch Me Lyrics

personalchaos, of course the Doors were average. None of the band were what one would consider virtuoso players. Their lyrics were occasionally brilliant, mostly listenable, but often horrid. A great band is greater than the sum of its parts. The Doors were simply The Jim Morrison show. Any backing band would have had the same effect. It was all about Jim's charisma. Have you ever heard the albums the Doors put out after Jim died? |

| The Beatles – Here Comes the Sun Lyrics

This song really shows a drawback that CDs have over Long Players. This song was the first track of side B of Abbey Road. The last track of side A was I Want You (She's So Heavy). That song was so dark and forboding, flipping over the album and playing this was like physically flipping over to a new day. You just don't get that by hitting 'next track' on the cd player. |

| John Lennon – My Mummy's Dead Lyrics

Hard core. The roughest forty-nine seconds ever set down on an album. The pain just cuts through.
Also demostrates the crap people are putting out today. What mainstream artist today would bare their soul like John did with Plastic Ono Band? |

| Queen – She Makes Me (Stormtrooper in Stilettoes) Lyrics
| 20 years ago
|
They had Storm Troopers in World War I, long before the Nazis. 'Storm Trooper' is just dramaticspeak for 'Heavy Assault Infantry'.
That being said, I always thought it was about a guy who had it a little too bad over a woman who walked all over him. |

| Elton John – Don't Go Breaking My Heart Lyrics
| 20 years ago

Someone in some magazine once wrote that the only noteworthy thing about this song is that it put Kiki Dee in trivia questions forever.
Oh what the hell, I still like it. |

| Milla – You Did It All Before Lyrics

Amazed that no one commented on this one, since its a far stronger song than the three on the album that were released as singles. |

| The Cranberries – Linger Lyrics

I think everyone can relate to this one. "You've got me wrapped around my finger, do you have to let it linger" sums up young love gone bad, or unrequited young love, perfectly. |

| Elton John – My Father's Gun Lyrics

I always liked this song, it has one of the bes choruses ever, but Taupins subject matter is...strange. Pointlessly romantisicing the Conferacy seems very weird for an Englishman. |

| Jet – Look What You've Done Lyrics

It does have an unmistakeable Beatles feel to it, which is probably why I like it. Because, really, I consider the rest of Jet's stuff to be near Milli Vanilli quality. |

| Stevie Wonder – I Just Called To Say I Love You Lyrics
| 20 years ago
|
Not so good. Stop listening to this, and run out and get a copy of 'Talking Book' or 'Innervisions'.
Sell out soft pop. Of course, its on 'The Woman In Red' soundtrack, so thats expected.
Stevie Burned up nearly all of his hard earned seventies cred with this monster. |

| Freddie Mercury – Barcelona Lyrics
|
Queen Greatest Hits 3, of course, was a cheap cash in.
As for the song, its good stuff. Even if Caballe had long since passed her peak. Freddie, of course, kept his beautiful voice right to the end.
Sadly, most of the album is throwaway filler. |

I remember this song was the song they played during the 'dancing on bikes' scene in "Rad", the best bike movie ever. |

I like the doors, but I don't know why. Well, I do know why. How Morrison made those vapid lyrics sound good is a miracle. |

Pretty straight forward, but god, the lyrics are horrible.
Jim carries it off with the voice, but this is a bad song. |

| The Doors – Touch Me Lyrics

Average Doors song. Of course, the Doors were about the most average band in the world, so it evens out.
You ever notice how every high school has a kid who goes insane and thinks he's Jim Morrison? |
