Jude – I Do Lyrics
|
Every time I hear this song (first time I heard it was on Dawson's Creek), I think of a friend of mine who doesn't know how I feel and how awful it will be if I have to watch them get married. It's a beautiful song though. |

John Frusciante – A Firm Kick Lyrics
|
I think it's about a relationship that went wrong, and for whatever reason, John has regrets about it, either because it's ended or because of something that happened in it. I think this is his way of dealing with the aftermath and saying that he didn't get to say the things he wanted to say, and even so, didn't know what him saying them would mean to the other person. I think there's stuff he would still like to say, but can't find the right way to do it. |

Bon Jovi – I Love This Town Lyrics

I can just imagine them playing this at Wembley when they finally get back there. I know they're gonna say they love each town, but it'll be amazing to see them do it in London. I love this song. |

Bon Jovi – Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore Lyrics
| 17 years ago

I know this album is Nashville inspired, and I really love this song, but I'm not overly keen on LeAnn Rimes on this particular song. Normally I love her voice, but I don't like it on this song. Apart from that, it's a really beautiful track. |

Pink – Dear Mr. President (feat. Indigo Girls) Lyrics
| 17 years ago
|
Good on Pink for saying this. I'm from the UK, and I hope someone sent Blair a copy as well. Both liars, both hypocrites. The war should never have happened, and I'm glad Pink said it. I'm also with the Dixie Chicks. Whoever slammed them for what they said should be slammed themselves. Those who support Bush and Blair need to take their blinkers off. Bring the troops home now! |

Four Tops – Indestructable Lyrics

I'll always remember this song as the one that ITV used for their highlights package when Manchester United beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final in 1999. Great day! As for the meaning of the song, I think that's fairly self-explanatory! |

Nerina Pallot – Sophia Lyrics

I don't know what this song is about from the artist's perspective. I think it's one of those songs where you read into it what you want, because it becomes personal to everyone who hears it. It's very rare to hear something this beautiful. |

Bon Jovi – I Am Lyrics

Such a simple song, no real ambiguity to the meaning at all. Just a beautiful song telling someone you love them and that you'll always be there for them. |

Atlantic Starr – Always Lyrics

I actually love this song. Yeah, it's cheesy and dated, but it's very cute and sweet and pure and simple. I can't help loving this. |

David Berkeley – Fire Sign Lyrics

This is quite possibly the most achingly beautiful song I have ever heard. The vocals are haunting, and the acoustic guitar is perfect. I love this song more than I can ever explain. |

Bon Jovi – Last Man Standing Lyrics

I very much took this song to mean that the bands and artists who play live are a dying breed. Jon doesn't want all the rubbish that passes for music these days, and prefers the classic live stuff. Amazing song, even better live. |

Bon Jovi – Dirty Little Secret Lyrics

I think this one is pretty obvious. He's talking about a girl he's seeing who goes running back to her actual boyfriend after they've had sex. Naughty! |

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Death of a Martian Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
I read an interview in which John was describing that it was about Flea's dog who sadly died, but when John was recording his backing vocals for it, Anthony handed him a note to tell him that Buster had died as well. It's really sad. So I think the song is solely about Flea's dog, but the emotion behind the recording is about Buster as well. |

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Charlie Lyrics

Anthony has specifically said that thsi song is nothing to do with any drugs of any kind, although he also says that the guy who types up his lyrics thought it was about drugs and raised an eyebrow. Anthony assured him that he hasn't been on a cocaine binge. The interview that says this is either in Kerrang or Q magazine. I can't remember which one. |

Richie Sambora – Harlem Rain Lyrics

Quite possibly the most beautiful song in the world. No one could've done it better, and the guitar intro is achingly gorgeous. |

Moby – One Of These Mornings Lyrics

Any else completley freaked out when they hear this song? Coz every time I hear it, I think of Without A Trace, and the episodes with Graham Spaulding. Conor O'Farrell gives a truly amazing performance as the paedophile teacher, but the song totally freaks me out! |

Take That – Babe Lyrics
|
I don't particularly like pop music, but this song will always make it onto my top ten list, even my top five actually. It such a beautiful song, with a beautiful story. People do not give Gary Barlow enough credit. He's such an amazing songwriter, one of the most talented of the last 25 years. And this is coming from a rock chick! Take That certainly were THE boyband of the nineties, and definately one of the best ever.
(But I preferred them without that twat Robbie!) |

Nick Drake – Don't Think Twice, It's Alright Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
There's also a Vonda Shephard version of this. I know most people would laugh at the idea of her being able to pull it off, but she's actually pretty good at it. It's very sweet with a female voice, and it's kinda nice to hear it done like that. I like the Bob Dylan version as wel though, never heard Nick Drake's one.
I think the song is about someone who has resigned themselves to the end of a relationship and this is they're attempt to get closure. I could be wrong, this is just the way I always thought of it. |

Will Smith – The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Lyrics

I'm 22, and I don't know I'd wanna make friends with someone of the same age unless they know this word for word. It's a staple part of the child of the 80's phenomena! |

Red Hot Chili Peppers – This Is the Place Lyrics

This is nothin to do with Kurt Cobain, the song that is written for him is called Tearjerker. This is purely about Anthony's drug addiction, and how he doesn't want to pass his problems onto his children, like his dad maybe did to him. |

To alliecat387, I think a lot of MB20 songs are like that. I can't remember the song I have in mind, but I was definately shocked by it once I actually heard it. You're So Real is a lovely song, lyrically and musically. |

actually, Kurt said he could never remeber what the lyrics were to the song, so it's entirely probable that the ones printed here aren't even correct. i think it's just one of those songs that everyone can interpret the way they want, because of the bad Cobain memory! i think it's cool, and yes i have the one tha t scares the shit out of you late at night, and yes it's done it to me too! lol. |

It doesn't matter what you think she was doing with a sword, the point u were tryin to make was that it was unrealistic that she cud hav bin who she was. I'm (along with many others) are defending a film that is really REALLY good. You're the one with the bullshit! Ha ha! |
