How has no one commented on this song? It is decidedly my famous James Taylor song and one of the most compelling love songs I know of. It is about what a emotional mess he is--lower than low--and then when he's with her, it's all gone, and that's all he needs.
That said, the "Every now and then" part goes before the "It isn't what she's got to say" part...and then the chorus repeats.
My fiancé’ called me from our driveway one evening, and asked me to come out to the car and get in. With tears streaming down his cheeks he said “This is how I feel about you”. Tom suffered from himself as he battled a lung disease and drug addiction. He passed away in 2009. I keep James Taylors’ CD in my top drawer so I can pull it out from time to time……. Toms fingerprints are on the CD. ????
yeah the lyrics are a bit screwed up but this is one of my favorites...makes me feel good...now if I could only get a girlfriend, haha
