I can't even TRY to determine the meaning of this song to me because I am floored with how beautiful it is. The track + Brad Arnold's voice just brings me to my knees it's so good. I relate to this song because not only is it beautiful but I think he's saying that if he ever stopped to actually enjoy life and all he's accomplished, and just the subtle happiness life brings, would it be like abandoning everything he's gone through and everything that made him who he is? Would realizing a lot of his triumphs, would it cause him to feel more far away from the tribulations that got him to where he is today. I don't think he wants to forget anything or take anything in the past and present for granted by ''sleeping at the wheel''.. thats just my humble translation of the song, it is how I relate the lyrics to my life too. |

when i heard aaron sing this at one of his acoustic shows i was floored. the acoustic version is on youtube and i really like the pureness of his voice and the heartfelt lyrics in this song... it's so completely touching. i know it's about his wife and i am thankful that together their love inspires such amazing tracks such as this one.. this song is perfect and i hope to share it with someone special one day. |

this song is political and thom manages to make a song with a strong message that doesn't override the beautiful and ethereal music that goes along with it. i'm in love with this song... i listen to it when i am walking through the city just staring at the people and buildings around me.. what does it all mean? i just think about sailing to the moon. |

At one of Aaron Lewis' acoustic shows that I went to in January he explained that Epiphany is about his A.D.D. which his wife attributes to his pot smoking. He was lighthearted about the meaning of the song and now that he said that when I listen to lyrics I can see where it is in fact about A.D.D. Sorry to disappoint all the people who thought it meant something else but I am sure he wants his fans to take whatever they want from the song. It is a beautiful song still. |
