Fill Me Up Lyrics
I just had to let you know
Couse i dont always let it show
You give me needed room to grow
And i just had to tell you so
/Chorus/
You fill me up, your in my veins
A look could take my breath away
And all these things, you give away
Sometimes i take for granted
Its just like poetry inside
To hear you breathing by my side
Like i am in heaven and ive died
So glad your with me for this ride
/Chorus/
I see your face to start my day
makes all my bad dreams go away
And all the stupid games we play
Wouldnt have it any other way
/Chorus (x2)/
Couse i dont always let it show
You give me needed room to grow
And i just had to tell you so
You fill me up, your in my veins
A look could take my breath away
And all these things, you give away
Sometimes i take for granted
To hear you breathing by my side
Like i am in heaven and ive died
So glad your with me for this ride
makes all my bad dreams go away
And all the stupid games we play
Wouldnt have it any other way

I think a lot of us artists (definitely not trying to disclude anyone) with our dreams, aspirations, loves, and dealings with life -- we need a place to go where it feels like heaven. Someplace pure where the very tracks we make can go no wrong.
That is why I search so desperately with love. When I fall for someone they become such a cornerstone for me. The time I spend with them whisks me away to another world, a place where hurt and suffering cannot reach, where beauty lies in the our very breaths--heaven.
This may be about his wife, and I can definitely see that. I feel that when we fall in love and we're truly with the one for us we will feel that. Living on earth can be a fine line of heaven and hell as is stated in similar words in another Staind song, and that's how we can bring heaven all around us in this time that we cannot go there just yet. It is the connection in our hearts. The more we connect, and the more connections there are, the closer heaven becomes. So don't look to the skies for heaven, don't think it so far away, it's closer then you think. It's in your heart.
This song is definately about his wife, Vanessa. She's helped him so much along with his life, yet sometimes he takes for granted the things she does for him, and also her company.
This song also reminds me of Warm Safe Place, another song dedicated to his wife; I believe this song should be a great example for our loved ones, and how we should never forget and take them for granted.
This is a really good song about his wife. Its basically about what saroknight said. Its a very sweet, heartfelt song and its definetly one of the best off 14 shades of grey.
how come more ppl havent commented on this song? this is one of my faves from 14 shades. very good song.
This is one of the few songs I like on 14 shades.
this song is awesome its start makes you think that here comes another anger driven song but then he hits the lyrics and its a song about what seems to be his saving grace, and that being his wife
this song is great i like the hook. all of his songs have a true meaning behind the words and he sings with such passion.
I can't believe more people haven't written about this song. It's absolutely beautiful, one of my all-time favorite Staind songs. I love that he wrote it for his wife... it's an amazing song.

Awesome song, the title would suggest that it is about sex, but fill me up in this instance mean love and lots of it.
