Cynosure, you apparently don't appreciate heartfelt music such as this. It would be nice if you would pull your head out of your ass and listen to some quality music.
Also, if you think that they suck ass because of the simple fact that they're commercial, then you obviously don't know what the fuck you're talking about. |

| Dashboard Confessional – The Good Fight Lyrics

Great song, but I think Dashboard Confessional is just a little overrated, don't you? Most of their songs I don't listen to, but I like a few, such as The Good Fight, The Best Deceptions, Screaming Infedelities, and especially Hands Down. Their most annoying and repetative song that I've heard would have to be Hold On, though. |

I can't believe somebody hasn't already commented on this song! The song just illustrates that female porn stars, in the general sense, become Volvo-driving soccer moms after they quit the industry. This song fuckin' rocks!! |

| Deftones – When Girls Telephone Boys Lyrics

|
Definitely one of my favorites on 'Deftones'. This has to be the heaviest song on the album, hands down. The girl at the beginning of the song is obviously talking about a condom, since one of them says something about 'this thing's worth it' and she says 'it's hella sensitive'. Plus, she's breathing hard. |

| Blink-182 – First Date Lyrics
|
You know, I fucking LOVE this song, along with genuine punk, and I'll bet some of you are thinking, "What the fuck, is that POSSIBLE?!" Yeah, it is, and I like other types of music, like metal, rock, rap, and, to an extent, pop. That tells me that a lot of these people are stuck on just one or a few types of music, which amounts to a fucking boring life, if you ask me.
By the way, JustLizHWM, is that the only reason you don't like Blink 182? Just because it's poppy doesn't automatically mean you should stop listening to it. You're probably deliberately listening to strictly underground music, just to get away from the popular music. If you sat down and listened to some of it, maybe you'll like it, that is, if what I said about you is true. |

| Nickelback – Leader of Men Lyrics
|
"A lot of the songs are split in twos and threes, where, like in 'Leader of Men,' the first part is about taking mushrooms - he was on some sort of a mushroom trip - and then the second half is from an experience he had jumping off these cliffs in Alberta and somebody got caught down stream or something, and he had to pull her in, and he supposedly saved her. She thought she was in some dire straits so she gave a ring to him for that, because he lost his ring; so that's why it says 'Now the ring that's on my hand was given to me by her. And to this day we all sit around and dream of ways to get higher.' He loops them all back together at the end of the song."

Look, Evanescence is Christian, but according to Ben Moody, their music does not reflect that. Read it in this week's Entertainment Weekly. Just to prove they're not a Christian band, Ben says 'fuck' two or three times in that interview. |

VoiceOfKATAR, you little bitch, this IS good music, so quit wasting your time in a place where you don't belong; you obviously do not appreciate beautiful, well-written music with a message that speaks to so many people (not you, apparently). You know, I probably listen to a lot of the music you listen to, plus this (different people have different musical tastes), so comment on music you LIKE, please...it'll save us a lot of wasted space on these lyrics pages. |

First of all, YoungAndDesperate, you wouldn't know good music if someone shoved it up your ass. Secondly, we are not looking for just hard rock (that's all you listen to, apparently, so your musical taste is quite limited). This is a moving, inspirational song that a lot of people can relate to, and since your range of music doesn't extend this far, go listen to SoaD. Maybe they have more meaningful songs than this one (I doubt it). |

GOD DAMN!! THIS IS WHERE I AM A FUCKIN' GENIOUS!! Get this: loudbliss just mentioned that at the middle of the song, Maynard's like yelling and screaming shit that's barely audible...I found out the biggest majority of what he's saying, no lie. It's like, "Eat shit and die...sell an album to an amateur...I hate to sell out, I hate/ain't selling albums...stand outside and make 'em die." Just listen to it yourself and it'll hit ya.
It pretty much fits in with what a lot of people have been speculating about it.
Anyways, that's all I can make out from that, and when I figure what else he's saying, I'll then keep updating this post. |

OK, this song is referring to when Craig Nicholls, the lead singer, was working at McDonald's. The lyrics explain it all. I know it's already been mentioned, but it is so ironic how the music is like really happy and upbeat sounding but the lyrics are totally opposite. |

| Silverchair – Miss You Love Lyrics

This has to be one of the greatest songs ever made, especially since I've witnessed a tragic event today: my absolute best friend, whom I never though would do this, overdosed Tylenol around 1:30 this morning. My family and I went to visit her in the hospital, and the sight was so depressing that I almost passed out. Every four hours she has to take a pill which makes her vomit the Tylenol out of her system, along with having a tube stuck from her nose all the way down to her stomach. The point I'm trying to get at is that this song reminds me of her now more than ever. I seriously hope she gets better soon. :'( |

Man, I love this song, and yeah, RubberDuckieYAY is right about it being one of Silverchair's better b sides. They first played this song live at Rock In Rio in January 2001, which was over a year before they released it on the Without You single. Anyways, it sounds a lot like glam rock. Also, I really can't come up with a meaning to it, so someone please enlighten me. |

| Deftones – Change (In the House of Flies) Lyrics

Actually the last few lines go like this:
I look at the cross
Then I look away
Give you the gun
Blow me away
Chino purposely used "give you the lungs" as part of the official lyrics because it was a successful selling strategy. He used the same strategy with the song 'Street Carp'. |

OK, I apologize for being arrogant; that wasn't my intention, and it was totally rude. I have been known to be that way in the past, though, but I'm not really an ARROGANT person. It's just that I happened to notice the "real" lyrics for the song when I listened to it over again after you posted those revisions. They may not be perfect, but I will be willing to bet that this is probably the best that anybody will post, unless of course Daniel himself posted the correct lyrics (no arrogance intended!). Anyways, this is such a beautiful song, and hopefully, more and more people will realize the lyrical genius of Daniel Johns. |
