I must admit, forum8cgs, started quite a heated battle. I never really considerd them Emo, more Melodic Hardcore. But I don't argue with people over clasifications of great bands. If it sounds good to the ear listen to it, if it dosn't press the open button and put in something else. My stab at the lyrical meaning, allthough I know I am compleatly wrong: because the songs based on the stories from his novels, either Coheed or Cambria gets seriously injerd to the point of unconsiousness in the state of NJ. So to escape they must then cross the NJ border "poll position speak up let out", which all east coasters know it is hell to get out of NJ. Yet before they can they know they are in a vunirable position, because down the street boys are fucking shit up. (because other then the extreamly upper class sections of jersey it isn't safe.) For simplicity sake I will say Coheed is the injerd one, and Cambria is attempting to save him. Yet Cambria is stuck in a position from having save his friend, that he must leave behind his love: Josiphine. She also probly has some type of connection to the reason that Coheed in injured and bleeding on the floor, and whail Cambria trys to convice Josaphine to come with him, he must also convince the half dead Coheed to hold on. "don't let them scare you when you're down on the floor bleeding bastard
you'll be getting home real soon and i'll pray for you high health" So the three are stuck in the after effects of a situation [Drug Deal comes to mind "let's fire it up haha now"] And Cambria just has to say I got to go, "it's too late to find a better way out of this." So he pretty much asks ' are you coming with me or not my sweet Josaphine' and she has to decline because she has sold her soul to the devil, and as a punishment is stuck to a life in New Jersey. So Cambria must take Coheed home and when Cambria takes a run for it, Josiphine warns him that they (demons or someother sci-fi creature) will follow them, because of their connection to her. Well that was my stab at it, it is probly way off, but it is more then any other of you quibbeling emoheads had to offer.

I liked the old lineup so much more then the new, one , but Adams stage presance is amazeing without the bass on his sholder. Yes I have seen them with both line-ups. And Toad, you might want to check out Brand New (theres no I in team is about the brand new singer sleeping with his girlfriend, whail they were best friends, great to say that they both got over her and are great friends agin) [If you ever get to see Brand New and TBS together Both singers sing the song, It is fucking awsome] They also played shows with The Used, Thursday, Shai Hulud, Recover, Thrice, Little League (everyone check them out, they are an amazeing band from philly) Rufio, Hey Mercedes, Finch. I get to see the one and only show that has Taking Back Sunday, The Used, and Andrew W.K. Thanks to TBS for useing their day off midtowns tour to join the Used. Oh, and because I am MD at my college radio, I get to interveiw The Used. I am so stoked about this show, and the best part is I can get back to school early because the headliner sucks. One of the top 5 single song recordings of all time. I love this song, the beginning bass line each verse, everything about it is amazeing. It is the reason I think they are the staple punk rock band of all time. The Ramones sang too much about drugs, and had a bit to much pop in their songs. And the sex pistols, allthough just a politically incorrect and talented, were sadly the first punk rock boy band. |

I went to the store with no real intention on buying a album so i was doing the look from A to Z method, just to waste time and what not. Well saw the self titled relize I had yet to purchase it, so i did. Put it on in the car ride home from the mall, ,and right when track eights "sorry I'm late but I was out spoiling my liver"graced my ears, I had a fav song on the album, byt the time "I can't see straight but the two of you look awfull pretty" I had a new favorite AT song surpassign privet eye. I think it was the fact that i could associate going home to my girlfriend and her being pissed off I was drunk. |

Personally it is my least favorite song by weezer off the blue album. And My favorite band that covers a song on the brown cover album. I would say it is a closest song to sounding like weezer themself, but they trademark travis "Yeah" at the end will fall on deaf ears to anyone that is not a avid piebald fan. I am quite disapointed that, despite my massive yelling, they would not play this song. I was secound back center too, and travis did give me a "I am sorry but it is not on our set list look" well at least i like to pretend that is what the look was for. It might have been your and obbsesive freak and stop screaming for a weezer song we only did to promote us, because more people would bye a weezer tribute album then a piebald album and maybe someone listening to it will go out and find us. Which come to think of it, it was that song that i first played to a friend to introduce them because I didn't have either piebald album on me and wanted them to hear the band. |

I don't know how to edit other peoples lyrics, ,but Emokid you forgot the yeah your part of it, which is just as important as the first your part of it. Also it is "And theres a guy ABOVE ME and he is washing windows" I am pretty sure that the above me pertains to the fact that a guy washing windows is not a slave in the same way most americans are to the capitolistic socity our goverment so eagerly adapted. So morally a window washer is above the singer of the song, either travis or a fictional person travis has created through a lyrical masterpeice. |

Yeah so I owned this really cool hat of Miller Beer. That is one of those red mesh hats and in white writeing it says "Miller (with that eagle desighn) Made the American Way" Well I wore it to my secound piebald show and was like two people back center, and after Long Nights their closeing number, I threw that hat to travis who cought it and siad "Now people are thowing shit." he then went to put it on and wear it whail he struck piebalds stuff for the closeing band. I then went to the following nights show and decided to enjoy this one from the back of the crowed away from pushing and idiot crowd surfers. Well I notice when Travis Came on he was wearing my had backwards. After American hearts he went on to say that this was their last number Long Nights, and quote "This hat I am wearing was thrown up to me last night, you have to admit it is cooler then underwear." I am stoke about that story, and will never stop telling it till they break up. |

I agree zbhead311, this is so much better then the popy songs like Hit or Miss, and I think My Friends Over you is the worst song on this new album, belongs with the rest of the pop that they put out last time. And Nothing Gold can Stay will never have a as good as follow up, because there is to much comprimise on the last two albums. The debut album is allways the staple of a bands collection. It is no strigs attached, because you have nothing to look forward to, and if good things happen then you put out a more popculture accepted album. But I love this song, "it's burning up in hear, even thought the bed is cold on your side" |

Yeah i am going through ever line of this song. I wanted to put only the ones that ment something to me in my profile, but then i relized every one did. Me and my signifigant other split for the summer and even though i am trying my hardest to keep us together, the only thing she is doing is saying she wants us to be together. So I am waiting for her to call me for a change, and i am throwing away everything i wrote about her to get thoughts of her away from me. She also has the biteing fetish that leaves my arms in bruises. So pretty much everthing is coverd by mr. dashboard confessional in this song. the real irony, ,is that when we were on good terms every lovey dovey song was by him, now this whole album is my personal soundtrack to this dieing relationship. |
