to me, this song is about the underlying irony in fighting for peace. i love the verse "Wasted arms; wasted legs Wrapped round this machine Military machine..." so many lives wasted, so many soldiers killed and maimed as a result of war. today's War Machine is fueled by the bone and gristle of yesterday's soldiers. when will we learn?

This song is absolutely insane in concert! The best song performed. I have seen them three times, met Michael, and a few other band members.....they are awesome on and off the stage!

for me, when I listen to this song I picture it is about how European settlers came to America with their ideas of this "New World" trying to force their way and ideologies on the Native Americans.
The meeting with the Europeans became a disaster for the native Americans. Throug fraud, violence and war they were down supressed and denied.
