After listening a few more times - I think this is about someone who is sorry for being such a miserable sod, while he went through a heavy depression - he wants to thank his girlfriend for being patient and waiting for him to get through the misery - it made her sad too which he could not acknowledge at the time due to the heavy depression - she had to live through it as his misery grew & spread its wings. She was patient and stood by him and now he wants to acknowledge and thank her now they have got by it. |

Getting back onto the subject after that bollocks interjection above.... staticaction seems to be more on track here for me - about a couple dealing with depression - probably just one of them - and dealing with it - gentle mind - asking for patience - be patient with me...let them get throught it or something - butterfly analogy I would guess is about how the depression lifts and the depressed one will spread her wings - climb out of it eventually - Just watch and wait for it to lift together - not sure but fantastic lyrics and a not bad tune that grows on you. Catcher in the rye stuff - no I don't think so!!! |
