Go Sadness Lyrics
I'm in a golden age
A great calendar page
I spotted the right time
The future is mine
I've got the greatest dog the best of them all
And I love my brother he's on my wall
Bye bye car keys
Hello sparkles and flies
I keep them they're mine
I saw the brightest light the most wonderful sight
And I spotted the right time the future is mine
A great calendar page
I spotted the right time
The future is mine
I've got the greatest dog the best of them all
And I love my brother he's on my wall
Bye bye car keys
Hello sparkles and flies
I keep them they're mine
I saw the brightest light the most wonderful sight
And I spotted the right time the future is mine

i agree with lastgunslinger when they said that its about appreciating everything you love in life. but there is more to it.
he kind of sings the sing like hes a litte boy and when your a little boy your dog and your brother are everything to you. and so you appreciate them and they happiness they bring you.
bye bye car keys hello sparkles and flies
best lines ever.
car keys symbolize one of the first major steps into adulthood and all the responsiblities that come with it. sparkles and flies? things that amused you when you were young and things were simple. its just talking about in easier time and how he wishs he could go back to that.
i keep them their mine.
again talking like a little kid. being able to be ignorant and selfish and care about yourself more than everything and everyone else around you.
It seems to me that this song is just about appreciating what's around you. The title is like a command, telling sadness to go away.
Good track ! Simple words, simple meaning, but what a great way to express it. Suits well when you wanna have a break and lay on the grass beneath the stars ...
i like how the song starts off with the author musing on what a great time in history he gets to live through. But that final line suggests an element of choice, as though having now decided to reflect on this great time he realizes that he 'spotted a great time' to be alive, as though he chose it for himself.
I guess it could be interpreted in some kind of religious way, as though there was point when he was in heaven (or wherever) and decided that he'd like to be on earth now. But think its simpler than that.
I think the final line, by suggesting that he chose the right time to exist, is really saying that he spends alot of time technically living, but not really alive...
So in this point in the song he's just glad he stepped back from the hustle hustle and enjoyed the moment for what it is.
the other version is better.
when it says "i keep them they're mine"
i believe he means that he wants to keep chilhood memories close to his heart and he doesn't want to lose them even when he enters adulthood.
great band - much much better than thaat horrid teenage oc shite!
Lemonhead FUCK YOU! O.C.'s wonderful... But not everyone can understand it... The most part of the serials is shit... The O.C. is the only great serial... Anyway, this song is sweet and relaxing... And the scene... Oh my God, it's great...
