Guaade, now I realize you are probably a Forty year-old balding, one toothed, chronic masturbator that lives in your mothers basement, and thinks that NSYNC is still the shit and all. But please, there is no reason to throw a hissy fit when a band comes out with a song that may or may not lyrically have the same premise as others, after all. They are a metal band, so no they wont write lots of songs about Unicorns and candy mountain, but they will about relationships that get fucked up and crush them. that is the reason for rock, to vent the frustration and aggression of pain and or anguish over an idea, situation, or belief. The song is completely original in style, just for the fact of the complete change of tempo. And the band is amazing because they have the ability and balls, to show that metal is also an art form just like any other type of music. Now, if your opinion differs in any way from mine, which I am sure it does. Make a cd, send me the lyrics, I will then find a copy of it, and listen. The day Curtain Call came out, Eminem did a special on all of his music videos with VH1, and he said that this song was the death of Slim Shady. Maybe not necissarily Eminem's retirement, but Slim Shady is gone. Depressing yes, and I too think that he is hinting towards his own retirement. and I feel sadened by this fact, but his should always worry about his family than complete strangers. He may retire, but I dont think that he is completely gone from us in his musical career, just not as devoted. But who can blame him, he just wants to have a healthy family for once.

I dont know if I would say that this song is directed toward Head specifically, b/c mainly for the fact that Head left to be a christian, not for a woman. My interpretation is that a woman has came between best friends and the friend that was left for her is telling the other friend how he truly feels. Ironically, this same situation just happened to me yesturday. The two of us where just friends for like four years, and I asked her out to dinner and a movie, she took it as just friends. by far one of my Smile Empty Soul songs. There are so many so-called "anthems" out there, but this fits us more than any other. For the older group of us we are the last of "Generation X", because lets be honest, in this little amount of time, things have changed. I mean, hell. These kids weren't raised with parents like in this song, we were, because of our surroundings. These kids are better off than we were, because we were the test rats, the guinea pigs for our parents, and if you have younger siblings you know what I am talking about.
