I see this song as being a man seeing a girl higher above him, and more important and a tragedy occurs in front of him and she begins to die. She is falling into the forever until she dies because she finds out the true feelings between her and the man. Just prior to her death she tries to calm the man by saying "Everything dies" and it ends there. Now the girl, who was thought of as gold by the man continues falling, so silent, so empty. |

I love this song, one of the first Katatonia songs I was introduced to. Johan's voice is magnificient and the lyrics are quite good. In my opinion, this song just seems to be about an out-of-body experience or just an adventure from your mind and you're allowing your imagination to run free. |

This is the first song I've heard by The Sins of Thy Beloved and they're great so far. This song just sets a mood that's wonderful. This song seems to be about a love and the two are just in sync with eachothers thoughts, and emotions. |

My opinion on this (great) song is that it's some guy speaking to a close friend who is wanting to commit suicide and is on the verge of doing it. He is trying to tell the friend how much he has meant to him throughout their lives and wants to know why he wants to just end his life and that hope may be lost but he shouldn't give in. In the end the friend does kill himself and leaves his friend to dwell over the death which occured infront of him. |

This is kind of a complicated song to get a comment on. I think it's just about saying sorry to a person who just had a loved one die (think of a doctor telling a patients family...). Another idea would be that he is trying to tell a girl that he is sorry about dumping her, but just has too, or doesn't want to give a specific reason. |

This makes me believe it's about someone who is having a hard time making a living, and just making it through each day. The person gets sympathy from others and they open their heart up to them and show what their true self is.
From line "All you need is a modest house" to "About the stars " it's all about what you need to live to be overall happy. The verse is just describing a simple, perfect-enough area to live and grow in. |

Playing with a loaded gun " I believe these lines are about how his unborn son (lets call him Jimmy) is the bad of the two sons (the other being Jesus) and he turns on God and shoots him. Now that God is shot and dead, the stars begin to fall from Christianities downfall. God somehow squeezing the last remaining hope (breath) from the Earth and this abolishes Christianity due to the end of God. The sun goes and and the world basically ceases to function because of a highly followed religion all of a sudden has ended. The world is on fire from all the chaos and torment which may be occuring (Christian's proving that he did exist and being killed now that God is gone). |

Jonas Renkse I believe is singing about witnessing the death of a not-so close family member that he didn't care much for but when the family member died, the death struck him hard that no one lives forever. In the second verse I believe he means by "I had a choice, you had to leave" that he is letting the thoughts leave his heart and mind and is just trying to get over it. The third verse leads me to believe that the person who died was by some kind of overdose by the lines "I saw you fuck up". |

In the first verse it makes me think that he (Jonas Renske) may have said something that he didn't want to let out to someone (possibly moving) so he denies that he says it the next time speaking.
The second verse I believe he might have witnessed a death, or something to another person (maybe attempted suicide) and if he tells the person which he speaks to about it that s/he will be spooked and could do something.
The third verse is that the person is making him stay at their place, or with them and s/he has he let the secret slip and now wishes that it didn't happen at all.
In the final verse he is giving up the fact that the secret is out and there is no reason to bottle it up inside, now the person who found out needs to just come his way in due time. |
