I wonder if this is the right interpretation. It seems to me, she loves someone that much, that she'd rather be friends if he doesn't love her, than losing him. She can't let him go, not because she doesn't want to. She can't let him go, because something doesn't feel right inside when she tries to forget him. It's like he's a part of her. |

These lyrics are so beautiful, they mean a lot to me. I feel I have upset the one I love the most. Perhaps I'm a little impulsive and said things I didn't mean to, and I feel continually like he's hurt, and it's my fault.
I wish I'd remember what I said, because I'd never mean anything negative about him. I think I've loved him a thousand years and this love will never end.
Sometimes I wonder why he's so sensitive, because if he could read in me, he'd know how much he means to me. |

To me this song is about real love.
It reminds me of my situation with someone I love and care about in ways I don't even comprehend.... And though it's never worked between us for some reason, I still love him, and realise I will always feel the same way. I care about him so much, I don't want to lose him. |
