| Atoms for Peace – Reverse Running Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| @bo3m21 Ex-wife,Ex-girlfriend.. It really doesn't matter. It's more general I think. Right question is "Who is she, messing me up?" | |
| Lotus Plaza – White Galactic One Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| I think It's about finding something so special, so you aren't capable thinking about anything else. It's leading you somewhere for a time, and at that time, it's only important thing. | |
| Atoms for Peace – Default Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
I've been thinking about this song a lot. And this is my interpretation. BASICS: It's about living in denial. Some of yours problem might just fade out for a moment and you think, you are ok now. You're back in "default", everything is good again. And you thing you don't have to deal with that problem. But later you realize you're lying to yourself. DETAILED: Something what is draining you for long time slip away (there might be no obvious reason for it). You're moving to next level (pawn unto the queen). You feel good when you are with your friends, or doing something you enjoy. But later, when you're alone (or something reminds you a problem), you're starting realize the burden is still there. You've made your bed and lie in it. You're repeatedly falling down. And when you are force to face a problem (you're turn out of phase) you just trying avoid it. There's no escape, without faceing it. It's still eating you up and you wish all these snares and nets gone. INTERST: phrase "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" is used in history of Artificial Intelligence. Some russian scientist translate it as "the vodka is good but the meat is rotten". The first computer AI game made was checkers (game with only pawns and queens). Strange coincidence, thought. |

| Radiohead – Vegetable Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| In my opinion this is, as lot of early radiohead songs are, love song (broken heart song). Or if you like, in general, he's tired being treat like he wouldn't have any feelings. "I'm not a vegetable" says he has feelings (unlike vegetable). He is affected by his fears, anxieties and he will not control himself. | |
| Choir of Young Believers – Hollow Talk Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Good explanation. There is one more thing that makes sense to me. It could be about some kind of mental disorder. The girl would symbolize that disorder. There is part when this person trying fight with illness but then shadows swallow him again and everything goes back to beggining. He just continue in downward spiral. | |
| The Brian Jonestown Massacre – My Man Syd Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I wonder if that could be about Syd Barrett. | |
| The Brian Jonestown Massacre – Monster Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
It's about be in love with somebody. About moments when you're with your lover and at that moment there's nothing else in whole fucking world only you and your lover. Monsters would probably symbolize problems your lover. In last verse he takes these monsters as his own. |

| The Brian Jonestown Massacre – Monkey Puzzle Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Most probably Anton, It's his song. As far as i know only Matt Hollywood sang some of his songs live (for example Oh Lord). But i thing all studio songs from Take It From the Man is singing Anton. | |
| The Brian Jonestown Massacre – Take It From The Man Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I thing this is pretty obvious this song is about political and economical situation all around the world. Corrupted politicians make promises which they not gonna abide. There are lot of "stupid" goods which noone really use for something meaningful, noone really needs them but still lot of people buy them. Massproduction, Overproduction. |

| Nine Inch Nails – Find My Way Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This song is about Trents past. What he done, said, tried, believe. About mistakes what he's done. About his long way here, what he is now. | |
| Nine Inch Nails – Came Back Haunted Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Yeah, this is definitly about NIN come back. About what he said and now do otherwise. He tries justify it in this song. Because he didnt believe it until he saw it. | |
| Radiohead – Nice Dream Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I've very similar experience. Only the "friend" was a girl who I was love with. She didn't know. She gave me sunshine and made me happy. I was there always when she needed. When I need something, just see her, she couldn't. There was always something what electrocute us. I was living this nice dream. Thought, I'm strong enough, well I wasn't. Finally, it caught me up and melt me down. | |
| Radiohead – Life in a Glasshouse Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
This might be about our Society. As most of their songs are critic on materalism, way of living etc. But I think lots of Radiohead songs can be about Thom relationships. This song is for me definitly one of them. Once again his old love recalls him. And these lyrics are about what comes through his head. Then "Living in a glass house" would mean he is surrounded fragile "things" (thoughts, memories, feelings) He has build and if he make just one mistake all can fall down on him. |

| Radiohead – Idioteque Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Really great explanation! It can be representation any fallout vision i guess. Nevertheless I have this great album associated with "Threads" movie (1984). | |
| The Brian Jonestown Massacre – Straight Up and Down Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
This song is like most from Take it from man! About relationship between songwriter and his "significant other". Just like title says it's about process of his life take him straigth up and down over and over again. In verse he says how he feels about that person how he sees her and how he wants to see her. "i love you but it drags me down" He wants to move on He knows how much is this relation hurting him, but he cant change way he feels. This is actually more optimistic version of song. In this case he says: "it's fine with me cause i'm going to keep trying" in another version of this song he says instead it: "it's fine with me cause i'm sick and tired of trying" |

| Nine Inch Nails – Me, I'm Not Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
For me this song define relationship I've been through. Every part of this song says how I felt and what was happening back there. In context of whole album is about someone who do not know who he is. He hide it and watch the changes He has been trough. He is trying stop all of this but he can't. In second verse He looks back and when he sees what he was doing, regrets his choises. He shouldn't resist. He desperately want change what he did. |
