It's about be in love with somebody. About moments when you're with your lover and at that moment there's nothing else in whole fucking world only you and your lover. Monsters would probably symbolize problems your lover. In last verse he takes these monsters as his own.
personally I believe that this song Is simply about falling in love with someone but you know its not working.
