| Washington – Clementine Lyrics | 11 years ago |

I don't think the song is entirely gibberish but sometimes the things that we want to say seem that way because sometimes the words we use are too short to encapsulate certain experiences. Personally for me its a song about finding a way to get out of a stagnant situation where your life isn't going anywhere or finding your place in the world So you run away trying yourself into things that might make life seem more meaningful and purposeful. Hence my favorite line "I'm just running into something bigger than the something I left behind." "Take me out, take me home, take me anywhere I walked a hundred miles so I could give a dog a bone." - because when you feel empty, you have nothing to give. In order to move forward you need to move. "Turn the water into holy water" Making ordinary things mean something deeper like a job into a real career. "You are young you are restless. Got a message from your mother said to tell you she'll be coming round the mountain when she comes" - Well when you're young you want try a lot of things, and sometimes all these restlessness lands us into trouble hence the "mountains". The part about the mother maybe about our parents or loved ones who are supporting us to overcome difficulties. They'll come around the mountain because its not them who are facing the difficulties but us. Only we can face the music, and the people we love can only be there for us. "Take me out, take me home, take me anywhere. I walked a hundred miles so I could hear them play your song on the radio." - I guess its about a record she worked to put out there" |

| Maybe its just me but it seems to me that the lyrics convey a couple's perspective on love vs. society's ideals on love. The photograph represents the image we perceive people to be or the couple to be in this matter. In the first stanza, the persona tries to defy the norm. How they'll be different from any couple or failed relationships. The second stanza shows how the norm tries to keep them at bay. The third stanza concludes how the social norms eventually become significant to the ones involved in a relationship. I was once in an open relationship, at first I felt so edgy but eventually the norms of being an exclusive relationship caught up with me. I always thought that love was too old for anyone to be understood or for anyone to claim but eventually our love grew old and it died. So neither of us never came back for more. :P | |
| Spiritualized – Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| For me this song is a phenomena of a Koi No Yokan (the premonition of falling in love with someone upon first meeting them). A failed Koi No Yokan. It might not have become the greatest love you've ever had or that it never bore into it. At least you had that moment in your life and you would be forever grateful fo it. | |

| Metric – The Twist Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Perhaps its a reference to prostitution? Or perhaps the lure of the western media in persuading the girl to be sexually provocative? | |

Don't you think it could be a reference to Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged? "Yes shall we take a spin again in business This time is fixed lets sweeten our facilities It took all the man in me To be the dog you wanted me to be" that's something like Hank Rearden would say. hahahaha |
