"Dying young and playing hard, that's how my father made his life an art" To me it sounds like she's singing about Elvis and not her biological father, cause her biological father is very much alive. The reason why I suspect this is because in her song "Body Electric" she sings: "Elvis is my daddy, Marilyn's my mother - Jesus is my bestest friend." And that to me seems to be connected in some way. Maybe because she's inspired by the way Elvis lived. He "lived fast, died young, he was wild & he had fun" which is also a quote from her music video "Ride". |

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be: "All of the sadness I can not, Live with inside of me." Instead of: "All of the sadness I can not, Living inside of me." I'm Swedish so I'm not one hundred percent sure. |

This song is heart wrenching, and I can relate to every single word in this song, sadly. I remember one time when I was exactly four years old and my father was drunk, I was hiding under the stairs because he was being violent towards one of my older sister. I cried silently so that he wouldn’t hear me, and he never knew I heard it all happen. Or maybe he did, but thought I would forget it all because I was so young. But that painful memory haunts me to this day. Because there are some memories that just won’t go away. He never was violent towards me when I was that young, but that changed as soon as my sisters had moved out. I know the pain and frustration that rests behind every word in this song and I adore Demi for sharing all this. I cry every time I hear this song because it’s so intense, and I feel it could might as well be a song written by myself. I've listened to Demi's music since nearly four years back now and I never knew all the things she had been through, but now lately I have learned that we've been facing a number of very similar struggles. |

| I think this might be about Joe. That she wants him to finally make a move on her. She wants them to cross the line to be a couple aldready instead of being just friends. This is my interpretation of this song, because in one interview that Joe and Demi had together as a couple they described it as they both knew they were going to end up together eventually, but they just didn't know why. Maybe this song describes that frustration of waiting around for it to happen. | |

| I agree! This seems to be about someone who's very fragile falling in love with someone and simply tells that someone to be careful with her heart and soul. Amazing lyrics and amazing song! I believe that this song is underrated.. Given how few comments it has! | |
