i agree with the 27 Club reference. I just realized it as well. I also agree that it could be from
Joe's point of view.(Especially because its part of Pete's style to write from different people's povs) But some of it does seem like it could be Pete. Maybe a mixture of of both theirs. |

Cape Town is a metaphor for fame/hollywood/ect. He's saying he loved Keltie, but got "lost" or caught up in the idea of fame and that lead to him cheating.

refers to the morning she found out and he told her that the other girl meant nothing to him. |

There is a girl that is trying so despretly hard to be like me, she's taken up listening to the same music i do. she used to be this nice christen girl but now she's a wanna be emo(I'm not emo btw)who is listening to music, that just a few months ago said i was going to hell for listening to. i love the line "stay helpless" |

Obviously, it's about someone changing :i thought i loved you but it was just how you looked in the light" as in you thought you knew them, but it was just the circumstances. and "A teenage vow in a parking lot, till tonight do us part" is about eloping, and is saying we didn't think it was much. "And you're someone Who knows someone Who knows someone I once knew" is just plain obvious |
