| Erykah Badu – 20 Feet Tall Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i also agree with kayegeey and i believe it also has to do with the new georgia guidestone 'commandments'... i put 2 and 2 together and it seems like people are worshipping a new 'God' [world religion]....i did my math and my research and found that those 'guidestones' are about 20 FEET TALL.... trust me if i know about this Ms Badu been knew. | |

haha erykah does it again! this song is obviously abouther realtionship with the deal that every great artist signs at some point (being very conversially known as selling your soul) of course these deals are signed for the money or the fame and she is just in it for financial gain and definitely the love of the art and her fans. but its obvious in lines like 'I'll be your robot girl', 'Gimme some I'll be the one back stage', 'Fingers crossed behind my back' that badu is going to do her art the way she wants with her own message but will also make those 'wicked songs' for the money this is my Opinion |

| Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| and to add to that they sold theyre souls for their successes and they are not sure if its all worth it....but they feel as if it may not be too late | |
| Kanye West – Love Lockdown Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| jack im with you but i thon kanyes forbidden love is a male... i think he is a homosexual on the dl keeping aa 'secret code' but his image is too fragile for such a controversy... you will find that the entire video is about the glorification of homosexuals... hence the over complicated and over dramatized scenes that have absolutely nothing to do with the song | |
| Lil' Wayne – On Fire Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| not the first song wayne ever talked about selling his soul to the devil on but this one goes into much more detail and the video contains far more symbolism | |
| Lil' Wayne – Drop the World Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| the 2012 thing is also a bit ludacris | |
| Lil' Wayne – Drop the World Lyrics | 15 years ago |

hun its good to see you were going in the right direction until you mentioned spaceships... hes talking moreso about the battle between good and evil in general ' ie jus hope yur heavent sent and hell proof. meaning when judgement day comes be ready bc rappers like lil wayne sold his sould to the devil for his gift of what seems to be undwindled fame.... thats why he says i could die now rebirth m************.... that is a symbol of selling your soul and being reborn by a possessed spirit to carry out the sacred pact.... these secret societies are enlisting people to do evil the worst part is that embedded in this song tells you all of this, and rappers, politicians, media, theyre blatantly leading us to hell by straying us away from the path of rightousness |

| Beyoncé – Listen Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i believe the actual song despite the stage version is actually beyonce professing at the crossroads [ which has been a symbol of where you meet the devil to sell your soul according to old blues folklore] that she no longer believes in god bc her faith in him doesnt get her to where she wants to be career wise and now shes going to find her own voice with the devil | |
| Beyoncé – Sweet Dreams Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
i believe beyonce has sold her sold herself to the 'industry' for tthe greatest fame imagined and this is an allegiance or hymn to them [or it]... look at the symbolism and religious refernces embedded throughout the entire video peace and love |

i left out the most important part!!!!!! Its more than just a mission (Hey hey hey)- he means its about more than just music or getting money You hear but you dont listen (Hey hey hey)- hes saying you hear these songs being played but your not listnening and actually interpretting the meaning of these lyrics You better pay attention (Hey hey hey)- hes warning that maybe you should start listening to the actual lyrics And get what you been missin - once you can do that you will realize the ggrgand scheme of whats going on and it is bigger than hip hop.... |

im surprised that even the guy who said he watched the video couldnt catch the jist of what drakes REALLY saying which is that hes talking directly to the audience or listener which is US! We can start off with 'I took a chance with my heart (Hey hey hey) And I feel it takin over' - i believe this signifies him "selling his soul" for the fame and recognition [money, lifestyle, ect]. He then gets in to the nxt hook with 'Im more than just a number (Hey hey hey) I doubt youll find another (Hey hey hey) So every single summer (Hey hey hey) Ill be the one that you remember' - this signifies that hes not just any rapper and with his performance he will be crapping out hit after hit and we will love it and we will make hime blow up. Too many times, Ive been wrong I guess being right takes too long Im done waitin, theres nothin left to do But give all I have to you - here he is saying that hard work gets you by but working hard takes too long so in order to speed it up and probably become even more famous he "gives all he has to you' now here 'you' represents 'satan' if i may. THis last stanza or verse was wat really made it clear. and if this still isnt clear enough brush up onn your POLITICS and watch the video peace and love everyone [ sry i had to get creepy but theres some creepy stuff going on in the music industry, media and entertainment in general] |

i like you guys answer but i hope we dont mind if i add my 2 cents i think erykah badu has a strong message of faith and spirituality in her lyrics, many of which the people that hold the public interest of music production dont agree with anyway, and she wants the people who still believe in truth to stand up and say erykah badu is right and as a fan and an optimist i want her to stay in rotation. erykah badu feels as though her fans should reassure her that her music is still touching people. but i hope the end doesnt mean shes saying goodbye to the industry [to the art]... alot of artists these days say one thing and display another and the video has symbolism throughout that hold open another meaning [or perspective] |

| Erykah Badu – Didn't Cha Know Lyrics | 15 years ago |

i believe it gets deeper... i think shes talking about internal struggles with her life path and the fight between good and evil... her rebirth in the end symbolises that she may have chose evil but i have faith in erykah you just have to keep your eyes open for symbolism not only in the song but in the video the one thing i love about ms. badu is that her song may be simple in lyric but the meaning is very deep rooted |

| Erykah Badu – Other Side of the Game Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| * i have to add that she says 'peace out revolution...but we paid tho' meaning that these artists sell out to keep you from learning about whats goin on around you [politically] but they are being VERY well paid for this..... peace and love everyone | |
| Erykah Badu – Other Side of the Game Lyrics | 15 years ago |

actually when you get to understand what type of artist erykah badu is, you realise that the song is actually about her job in the music industry. She says 'what you gonna do when THEY come for you'. Who is they? 'They'represent those peopl in the industry that want you to sell out and sing about things that dont uplift or give people confidence or faith in God. also she says 'Work ain't honest but it pays the bills' which means in the industry you put up with alot of bs with people telling you what to do and if you listen to tadays music even neo soul is morally corrupt. THis means that she may have sold out because the money or 'gifts' provided her with stability and the ability to take care of her and her son. However she goes on to say 'God I can't stand life without ya' which means she would rather be on God's side. Now 'brotha' im not as sure but i think he is the product of todays hip hop, because he is an educated man but he lives a life that isnt right in the eyes of god and erykah tries to tell him that but he is hard headed but she still loves him because thats her brotha in terms of ethnicity and finally 'precious gifts... could it be make believe' basically saying is this fame/money long lasting of does it all fade; is it worth it. |
