Yeah, I thought the same thing upon my first few listens. Like "dense electric twilit maze" makes me think of the trap these technologies have us in. Maybe true happiness would come from a disconnection from the technology that all but runs our lives and finding peace in nature. But this was just my first interpretation, and what I usually gather from the song. |

I feel like this band gets it. Their music is superb. I can't find a single fault. Not only an amazing instrumental piece, the lyrics and vocals are exceptional. I love how these guys evolved and keep on evolving. |

| Bright Eyes – It's Cool, We Can Still Be Friends Lyrics

This song is the epitome of all those relationships that go sour, yet the couple still are involved in each other's life. It's completely universal, so many people can relate to the pure sorrow that's dripping from these lyrics. I agree with disaster above me, the pure simplicity of the song, and the emotion contained within is astounding. It goes without saying that I deeply admire this song and Bright Eyes as a whole. |

Long distance relationships are very worth it with the right person. I know what its like. I like this a lot because I can relate. sometimes these are the best relationships, because it requires 100% from both sides, and its not just for shallow reasons. Good luck! |

This probably has been said, but this song to me personally is saying no matter what, my heart is yours. Like even if a breakup happens, no matter what I say during an arguement, I love you and that doesn't change. Part of me will always love you. This is especially apparent in the chorus. That's just the way I interpret the song, and what it really means to me. |
