Omg you guys are so stupid. Seriously. It's about a guy who's so over come with passion and curiousity of sex and unwilling to cling to anyone. Though his partners cling to him. His partners want something serious but he then states they never really knew eachother (I'm not your friend, I never was) FYI: Sexuality isn't so black and white as you all are meant to believe. To me this song represents the guy meeting this spanish girl who only being 17 is and enjoys mature things yet still sometimes acts young and imature at times. Him being in a spanish country learns that drinking can take places whenever (trust me on that fact). The girl having 2 protective older brothers . Yet him and the girl still go out secretly. Him knowing they only have limited time and him knowing there's something not quiet right about her. She can be difficult and she can be caring. But the sex makes him want to stay. Don't take any of that to heart. It's the story that popped into head after hearing the song. |

| Really? I always saw it as a protective caring and warm song about a couple. "I wrote in a small note, put on your winter coat, a cold wind will blow through your door". Now that I'm analyzing the lyrics I really think its about the guy with bad news (a cold wind) telling his other half to get ready for the news (put on your winter coat), but that it will pass (night will follow day sure as the sun and moon). And that he'll come back from whatever this bad news is taking him (I will always be with you, the night will not last for much more). Either way I love it. Has hit closest to me than any other song has. It's weird, I know. | |
