731 was just as sick as the Nazis. The Japanese massacred an estimated 10,000,000 people before and during WW2. I was reading about their "Experiments" on Wiki.
Here is an excerpt:
To determine the treatment of frostbite, prisoners were taken outside in freezing weather and left with exposed arms, periodically drenched with water until frozen solid. The arm was later amputated; the doctor would repeat the process on the victim's upper arm to the shoulder. After both arms were gone, the doctors moved on to the legs until only a head and torso remained. The victim was then used for plague and pathogens experiments.

I've never heard this song. Not yet at least. I think the Zombie explanation is a little too farfetched for me. Don't take so literally. Its describing the lost souls, Satan's Victims destroying the church system. Plus the corruption that has plagued the churches forever. When the corrupted priest' times come, they'll be praying to be saved. |

I always thought it might have to do with the victim praying for God to save him. The song implies there is no God and therefore no heaven. So even Hell would be better than death/suffering . But it features the maniac killer's thoughts too. Like in the movie The Devil's Rejects when one of the killers (name eludes me) demands his victim to start asking God to smite him. God doesn't help, so the reject adds a little psychological torture to this murder and reminds the victim that he is all alone. But that is what the song speaks to me. |

I think it might be describing how maybe a church or other religious facility might use some one. Perhaps for money, just taking advantage of a person's goodheartedness or a once lost soul whom is in a "debt" to the church. Corruption, in the name of God. |

I think I get it.
He falls for the drummer of a band, perhaps for her adventurousness or open-mindedness, plus she isn't bad on the eyes. He ends up snagging her: Maybe it's behind her wild eyes/Now I know why-y-y. But then he finds out that she wants to be independent and is smart (in some way) and he wants the best for her, he is going the "opposite direction." Tiger Bomb is a sorta pet name, maybe a stage name. All I could find on Tiger Bomb is that it is a modified power bomb, a wrestling move. |

Hmm... I live in San Bernadino County, the largest county in America (not counting Alaska), and it is nowhere near the Oregan border. That stanza is quite random. I wouldn't say its an "evil land" but does have high crime rates nowadays, but not back in the 90s. And California SUCKS! |

I don't think necrophillia is the only thing this song is about. Its a key concept for it. It might have to do with an ex-lover. Perhaps, she died and the man is in a strange sort of denial. Well, after reading it again, I get the idea of a rapist who won't quit even after the victim's death. But, he is doing it out of spite or hate as well as being messed up in the head. This song is more of a story, I believe. |

The original is 17 minutes and not that good anyway. Slayer just crammed it into 3 minutes and managed to make it cool. I love how this love song is sang/sung in such a violent tone of voice. One of my favorite covers of all time. My favorite Slayer cover counting Undisputed Attitude. And for the record, I don't judge a song on length, The Mars Volta and Tool are a couple examples. |

Eric Clapton doesn't hate us all. Haha. Great song, my personal favorite by Slayer. Its just perfect in all ways. The drums, vocals, lyrics, and of the Guitar solo. I don't pay much attention to bass. I have this real pious "friend" and when he gets on my nerves, I just blast this song. Same reaction every time, "God doesn't hate us, He loves all." Then I laugh and leave. I really rambled on there. Slayer for Ever!
One more thing, what does "race" mean in this context. I think human race but it could also have to do with Heaven |

This is the only song Buckethead was given writing credit for. It reminds me a lot of him.
I have to agree with the school shooting theory. It makes the most sense and is believable considering Buckethead's fascination with serial killers and things of those subjects. |

I just read Plague Upon Hissing. I seriously doubt it is in any way a retaliation to this song or vice-versa. I think it is about a marriage that failed. The ATDI break up theory just seems too farfetched for me. |
