no kidding.... "stop it" is the only song off this album that is NOT on my playlist... because of the tambourines and other annoying instruments that drown out his voice... umm.. a lot of people are saying that they think this song is about a girl.... I've never heard a song by Aaron Gillespie about a girl... except a few songs that were put up on youtube.... but even in UnderOATH all the songs are written about God or their lives... Not a girl... it just seems a bit weird for him to suddenly write a song that has nothing to do with God.... idk maybe he changed..... this song sounds like he's talking to God "It's true I failed But your love covers me It's true I failed" how does a girl's love covers your sins? sorry.... |

I've listened to it 5 times in a row and I see God in every song....I think when you haven't experienced Christ you don't really see him in everything but when you have a personal relationship with him then he's everywhere in everything you do.... They don't ALWAYS write about God but ultimately he's the center of the band... These songs don't have to do with RELIGION.... They're about his addictions and how goes to God for help.. he didn't say "i told you so" and this is the same song as Never Say I Told You So he just changed the title... rofl but yeah this song is awesome...i think he's talking about how people always tell you that you have to be something in order to fit in or whatever....and he just wants to be himself so he's cutting and stabbing and making his example :) the lyrics are pretty easy to take apart once you know what the song's about... when he says he'll get his revenge he means that he'll be a lot happier than everyone else because he's himself... i think... aaron gillespie is seriously talented but his songs are a bit hard to understand... |

Like Joseph fled from the appearance of evil which means you don't go walk into a bar and be like "God, I know you're gonna help me overcome these temptations" because that's just retarded... But if temptation comes TO us then yeah we need to fight it.... I just wanted to show the difference... a lot of people think that if temptation comes to them then they must be doing something wrong... "bastard" and "whore" are in the Bible.... a bastard is(was) someone born out of wedlock.... and whore can be a hooker OR in the Bible it always said "whore-monger" which means someone who's always trying to stir up trouble... but yeah our generation has turned them into controversial words so i can see where you're coming from... Their line in Six Feet Under about bastard sons coming home again is taken from somewhere in Isaiah(The Anvil and the Hammer podcast explained this...) as for "whore" i never really thought it was wrong to say for a christian and I'm a pastor's daughter... |

I have their first 2 albums and i've heard some songs from their new album(i'm always broke so i'll probably get it next year, haha) Twilight is my favorite book series right now.... I was sort of upset and happy when Paramore wrote a song for Twilight...
