The wedding is an amazing band. I think this song is about putting your past relationships behind you and looking towards the future. Theyre trying to change their city for God. And they'll keep trying until the succeed.

it also means that you can't win people by being arrogant and nasty... the first verse deals with that... stop hating and start loving people... people won't want to become christians if all you do is tell them they're sinful and going to hell... they have enough problems and they just want a friend to help them out... that's what being a christian is about and i think that's what they were trying to say in the beginning...
