Now it may seem like this song is about Smelly, there are some parts in the song that don't make any sense if the song were to be about Smelly. Such as the part where Fat Mike lists some historic writers/novelists, Thompson as in Hunter S. Thompson, Hemingway as in Ernest Hemingway, Bukowski as in Charles Bukowski, and Bill Burroughs. It just doesn't make any sense how that has any connection to Smelly. Maybe this song is Fat Mikes conscience that's telling him to quit drinking, and Fat Mike is pretty much saying fuck that! I'm probably wrong but it's just a thought cuz if he's talking about writers it would only make sense that Fat Mike (the writer) is what this song is about. |

I think this song is about how America has been a major power in the world (we still are) but now we have also become one of the more poor countries with the financial recession. This song kinda goes with the whole "we're only gonna die from our own arrogance" thing cuz forever us americans thought, oh ya we can just spend money like apeshit and we'll be alright, but now the economies fucked and people are finding different. |

The original is better than Rancids version hands down. The whole album BYO Splits is done better by NOFX in my opinion. It seems NOFX was more comfortable doing the split. For instance Rancid left out El Hefe's part in the end of bob, Rancid didn't do the do do do do do's in the middle of Moron Bros. But NOFX did a Reggae version of Radio. NOFX did a whole lot better on the split. NOFX Owns!!!!! |

This song is amazing. It's about the president winning the election and being happy, when there's nothing to be really happy about. Just think about it... Would you really want to be the president of this fucked up country? All the corruptness and bullshit, you'd have to put up with like coming into office while a war is going on (at least nowadays). |

Fuckin Great song. The opening reminds me a lot of Purina Hall Of Fame, just with a human instead of a pig. And that's what this song is about, it's about instead of animals getting slaughtered humans do. The opening line "I swear I did my best to ensure that his final moments were swift and free from fear" is what all the butchers say about the pigs they slaughter but in reality they don't mean what they say. |
