heres my take at the song: so i think that this song is about a girl (probably cassadee) who met a boy who lives in arizona and she really thought that she liked him and had a lot of feelings for him. she decided to drive out to go see him, but then when she got there, she realized he wasn't anything that she thought he was, which completely bummed her out. the thing though that makes me think it may be about a long distance relationship though is the part that says "Tell me, how does that feel With the Grand Canyon Between me and you?" |

| I don't really see that much of how they are alike at all. I mean paramore has more of a hmm how would I say it, like alternative punkish sound but still pop at the same time. While hey monday is really pop. They're music sounds NOTHING alike. But I can see how people can think Hayley and Cassadee are a little the same, but not really in my eyes, I mean a lot of girls out in America have shoulder length hair that has blond underneath, doesn't make her a copy cat. I personally like hey monday much more than paramore, just for the simple fact that paramore is overplayed and I've gotten kind of sick of them (hate to say it). But nothing can take down paramore. And I totally agree with the xAlternativex person, I like loled when I read that, because me and my friend Emily were talking about that a while ago. I first heard about them in 2006 though, after 'All We Know Is Falling' came out obviously, when they were writing 'Riot!'. Still it's much longer since the radio knew about them. Lol | |

so i rreally think my guess on this song is really far from what it really means, but he dated a girl that he ended up wishing he didnt because of what happened. he ended up being with her for only sex, and then after the relationship he figured out that he was terrible for doing that. this part made me think it was about using someone for sex: "With your heart of gold You were the treasure I somehow stole And I'm not giving it back I'll never give it back You'll have to take me alive" |

i wrote the comment above, but sadly forgot the pass to it. but anyways i found out more about the meaning and i thought i would write in on here, so everyone can also know. but anyways this song was one of daves first written songs and he wrote it about his girlfriend that he had back in new jersey (morris county, nj) right before he moved to florida. i guess he was really young when he wrote it and was writing about how when he went back there his gf was moved on and everyone was saying it but he didnt want to blieve it even though he pretty much knew it was over, he wanted to hear it from her. he said that in a previous q&a blog. |

this is also one of my favorite songs on the ep, i have the shirt that has these lyrics on it by them its like yellow and ik they only sell it on tour. but anyways on the shirt it has a girl with no face riding a bike with who looks like her boyfriend or something who has a face who is also riding a bike. from looking at the shirt and knowing the song, i think this song and the shirt is saying of how you dont have to be perfect or pretty or anything special for the guy to fall in love with her, he loves her for everything she is and everything she does makes him fall in love with her. i thought it was pretty easy to get the message of the song. |
