| From Autumn to Ashes – A Goat in Sheep's Rosary Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I don't think it's "of the son of your idol" as in the idol's son. I think it's "of the son, of your idol" as in of the son AND idol. The christian tradition is to equate Bread to Jesus' Body and Wine to his Blood. So when he says "spilling the blood of the son" he means alcohol. I don't think the song is anti-religious. He is not debasing religion. Religion in the song is a metaphor for an explanation in general. And the song is debasing the use of "explanations" or "searches for truth" as a justification for wrong doings. And, by the way, the quote at the end goes: "They say this country was based on hard work and integrity, and worshipping God. That’s all lies. (Laughs) This place was built on murder, man. Mayhem, slavery, oppression, lies, thievery, and tyranny. That's what it's based on..." |

| The Black Dahlia Murder – Eyes Of Thousand Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's about a black widow. She lures men in with her false beauty and then kills them. | |
| The Black Dahlia Murder – That Which Erodes the Most Tender of Things Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The song is about a woman (the speaker) who has a stillborn child, but still feels the attachment a mother feels towards her child, so instead of letting him be dead, she pretends he's still alive. She proceeds to rock him, nurse him, and love him, despite his being dead. At the same time she can't contemplate why any God would kill a child, hence "What fiend would take these tiny eyes and show them to the dark? Gods just a lie." | |

Hey, I just realized something... I don't think the line is: "I watch a woman that I know My hope and my own future blindfolded To atone for..." I think it's ACTUALLY: "I walked a woman that I know My hope and my own future blindfolded To her tomb (to her tomb)" |

And I don't think it says: "When Saint Michael sized..." I think it says: "Well, on Saint Michael's eyes..." |

Does anybody know what is screamed right after "I'll burn all the lies of this angel illuminati?" I'm referring to the part where the panning goes all over the place. |

| Protest the Hero – Bury the Hatchet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I wonder if "carve X's in his eyes" is meant to be taken more figuratively than literally. It would be quite entertaining and gruesome if he ACTUALLY carved X's into the prisoner's eyes, but maybe it's just a metaphor for killing him. On cartoons, dead bodies are always shown with X's in place of their eyes. Maybe it's meant to be both. Perhaps it's just a violent way to describe something figuratve, effectively describing the idea of killing and showing the cruel and forceful nature of the guard. | |

| Sorry...that "There" should be "They." | |
| Protest the Hero – Heretics & Killers Lyrics | 17 years ago |

They're both lines from "Blindfolds Aside." There were added to the song for dramatic effect, probably to link the two songs. Protest does this alot on this album. The two lines are: "Tonight we sleep as killers" and "As we break the cryptic morning" |
