The first day that it was released that Ben had started his new band I rushed over to their site and listened to every song. This one ended up being my favorite. It is just so happy, and seems rather carefree. I understand that I'm probably seeing this wrong, and differently than everyone else though. The lines "Did you see who just pushed that shopping cart? It kinda looked like it moved all by itself I think I just saw someone pull in; thought you should know Maybe we should go" seem to convey a sort of just teenage fun, where you are just hanging around in the parking lot, pushing carts around and trying to avoid getting thrown out by the mall cops. Later it talks about blowing up your cellphone, which again, just just stupid teenage antics, in my opinion. Next, the chorus, to me, is just what is says, and I take it for face value: a couple of teenagers drinking and making out in some empty parking lot, and dancing around. Well, even if you guys see this song much differently, the upbeat sound makes everyone want to go and dance under the street lights themselves! |

| Green Day – Know Your Enemy Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Since I'm not a hardcore Green Day listener, I guess that may contribute to my dislike of this song. I just get annoyed with the constant "Do you know the enemy? Do you know your enemy? Well, gotta know the enemy" When I heard a sample of this song I found it to be catchy, but when I heard it all the way through I thought...so basically the whole song can be summarized with three lines? It all sounds the same! Even when the words change, the rest of the music doesn't seem to. Also it sounds very familiar to a few of their old songs. Personally, I like the older stuff, but obviously, this is not a rare find around here haha! |

Hi tripplextinaa, What was the error? I would be more than happy to fix it, although I did copy and paste the lyrics from Action Item's website. Sorry for the mistake. |

| Driver Side Impact – All for Nothing Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I personally think that this song is mostly about sex, and when a couple makes the decision that they want to let it get that far. This song seems to be more about teenagers, in the fact that it seems like they almost feel a little guilty, because their parents, teachers, etc. are always telling them this is so wrong. |

| Armor for Sleep – We'll Own The World Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Simply amazing, as always. This song is very uplifting and a strange, yet great change from their other songs. At first glance this song seems to be another love song, but i think maybe "we" is not meaning himself and a lover, but maybe just...everyone! This song does not seem limited to anything, and thats part of the message. | |
| Sonny Moore – Mora Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think this song means a lot of things, but i'm just going to talk about parts of the chorus first: "swallow a little of that sea" This seems to be more as if the "sea" is refering to his bad memories that he needed to learn to live with. "throw up a little of it on your knees" I think he is talking about his bulimia. "now doesn't that bring you back to the beginning" Maybe meaning the start of his career "before you poured your elements away" The elements could represent who he is as a person and somwhere through his time as a famous musician he lost his origional meaning. Some of this song, in my opinion, feels like the singer is trying to comfort someone. It sounds very uplifting in certain spots(not necessarily the words, but the actual sound) |
