Mora Lyrics

Take a step off of that silver bird from your planet
And you brought a little bit of that cold with you
Ring me out like you would your bastarding father
And youre so quick to stick to that scum
Hungry like a pirhana

Swallow a little of that sea
Now taste a little bit of that salt in me
Throw up a little of it on your knees
Now doesn't that bring you back to the beginning
Before you poured your elements away
Now sink back to the bottom of it all

Seal your lips with the black stitch of a secret
Parade with that speechless dryness of the desert
Lay flat under the lime light and feed off of the fiction
Cold callus and boiled between the bleak deep of your dirty hands

Kiss your son
Now kiss your bible
And you know I never wanted to see your face
Or I just won't believe it

Swallow a little of that sea
Now taste a little bit of that salt in me
Throw up a little of it on your knees
Now doesn't that bring you back to the beginning
Before you poured your elements away
Now sink back to the bottom of it all [x2]

Before you poured your elements away
Now sink back to the bottom of it all

At first it does sound like its referencing fellatio, but I think it's actually about cleansing yourself emotionally.

'take a step off of that silver bird from your planet and you brought a little bit of that cold with you' --> Sonny is encouraging the girl to open up to him but she's still in a previous bad state of mind, maybe being depressed or 'cold' because of a relationship with someone else

'ring me out like you would your bastarding father and youre so quick to stick to that scum hungry like a pirhana' --> the girl won't trust Sonny or accept his help. She is staying in a relationship with someone who can only be described as 'scum' maybe because she feels desperate

'swallow a little of that sea. Now taste a little bit of that salt in me. Throw up a little of it on your knees, now doesn't that bring you back to the beginning before you poured your elements away. Now sing back to the bottom of it all' --> The sea is something emense, cleansing and represents endless posibilities for her. Sonny wants her to taste freedom and hope again and wants her to see that he has those qualities in him. Throwing up the water is like spitting up the bad parts of herself and her past with it. It brings her 'back to the beginning', where she can start off fresh again.

I think this is about someone who takes everything, had a bad child hood, abusive relationship.

feed off the fiction= fake drama lover

I think it's someone that tries to create problems for themselves for attention, or makes everything an ultimatum. And seems to pin them on other people, Sonny in this case

i dunno if this is me just being perverted, but sexual abuse as a child? the whole "swallow" & "taste" taking you back to the beginning.

of course they could be metaphorical, but they could also be literal meanings. i do definitely think the song is about abuse though.

It is very sexual in its nature: "Swallow a little of that sea, and taste a little bit of that salt in me" - clearly a fellatio reference. "Throw up a little of it on your knees" - provides an image of a scene girl puking while on her knees while trying to swallow some salty liquid. And afterwards she has dirty hands.
