| Fiona Apple – Window Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| The first few times I heard this song, I thought that the "him" or "her" were directly on the other side of the window. Now, I'm assuming they are not. Still, I like imagining that they are on the other side, I like what it means to me when they are. | |

correct lyrics: I was staring out the window The whole time he was talking to me It was a filthy pane of glass I couldn't get a clear view And as he went on and on It wasn't the outside world I could see Just the filthy pane That I was lookin' through So I had to break the window It just had to be Better that I break a window Than him or her or me I was never focused on just one thing My eyes got fixed when my mind got soul And they look like I'm concentrated On a very clear view But I'm as good as asleep I bet you didn't know Take the lot of it away if you do I had to break the window It just had to be Better that I break a window Than him or her or me I had to break the window It just had to be, it was in my way Better that I break a window Than forget what I had to say Or miss what I should see Because The fact of being back Whatever's in front of me Is colorin’ my view So I can't see what I'm seein' In fact I only see what I'm lookin' through So again I've done the right thing I was never worried about that The answer's always been in clear view But even when the window's clean I still can't see for the fact That when it's clean it's so clear I can't tell what I'm lookin' through So I had to break the window It just had to be, it was in my way Better that I break a window Than him or her or me I had to break the window It just had to be, it was in my way Better that I break the window Than miss what I should see I had to break the window It just had to be, t was in my way Better that I break a window Than forget what I had to say I miss what I should see Or break him or her or me Especially me |

I think the missing lyrics are: "We don't know where to go (We know where to go) Like some Eskimos We don't know what to do (We know what to do) I've seen Katmandu We don't know where to go (We know where to go)" It may not be "Like some Eskimos," but I'm pretty sure I heard "Eskimos." Same with the "Katmandu" line. |

| The Monks – Monk Time Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Agreed! The Monks are really really good. My brother posted a link from youtube on facebook. It was The Monks live on German television with "Cuckoo." I watched because my brother always posts amazing stuff, and oh my goodness! I haven't stopped listening to them. I'm burning a CD in a few hours actually to play in class so everyone can hear this amazing band | |
| Violent Femmes – Gimme the Car Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I love this song, but, it's far more disturbing than what's been said. The subject of this song is planning on taking his father's car, raping a girl, then killing them both "What's wrong, What's right Y'know people don't care when they hate their life" "I'm gonna get her drunk i'm gonna make her cry I'm gonna get her high I'm gonna make her laugh I'm gonna make her...shh" I had to listen to the song and analyze it. I'm not complaining though, it's amazing, and so are the Femmes in general. |
