I think I kinda relate to this song because I know people in this situation. "If you're under the impression I'm alright I guess you never noticed I guess you might have known I've been holding this together for so long But I guess you might have noticed Well, I guess you..." The two people broke up and one of them immeadiatly jumped into another relastionship. The other person is saying 'hey, look how you left me, I'm not doing so great'. "The beast within the burden is all mine A product of his father A slave to his bride I feel I need to reveal my true stripes But the bitch behind all this trouble it Waits behind the wind to find out" Person A is saying 'even though I miss you and I told you I'm not alright, I don't want you to worry about me because it's my own problem'. The chorus is stating that Person a is angry and bitter that Peson B got with him even though he was in love with someone else who he eventually ditched for. "I'm sinking more and more into my lies Now home is just a pinprick in the vastness of my life Feel the pressure, feel the pleasure Feel the pain, you're not alone Feel the pleasure, feel the pain Feel the pain" Person A keeps lying to Person B, saying 'I'm fine, it's okay". Person A no longer feels that comfrotable at home because he feels alone there. When he says "feel the pleasure, feel the pain" he's telling Person B to be happy in his new relastionship, but to miss what they had before. "Realizations, I am not what you thought I was You change directions every time someone judges us In moderation, what was once us now never was You change directions every time someone judges us" Person B is beginning to see that Person A was stronger than he thought and is thinking about how their great relationship pretty much disappered as if it never happened because he felt very insecure while they were together. I know I made it sound like it ws two guys, but in my opinion it would fit pretty well, and that was the case in the situation I associate this song with. |

I think that this song is about a girl cheating on him and he knows it. "Another confrontation I won't make, We fake it, I wanted this so desparetly to be real" meaning he doesn't want to confront her so he just pretends that he doesn't know even though it hurts. The "run run" part is about her avoiding him a bit and him hoping she finds out that he knows what she's doing. "while he's letting you in you've got the feeling you've been followed" meaning he followed her one time and saw her go in to another guys house. "There's nowhere now that I've found you that I won't go" I think means that know that he's positive she's cheating on him he'll do anything to fix the situation. "It will be weighing on your shoulder, you've got that seed in you" is saying that she feels bad about what she's doing to him, but not bad enough to stop. "Let the small steps expose your secret, you don't have to speak for me to believe it" meaning he wants her to make it obvious she's cheating and break up with him so that he'll finally have the truth. "Are you lisening to a thing I said" probably means he finally let her knows he knows and asked her to eaither stop or leave, but she pretended to play dumb and not pay attention. "Shaken and faint it was the hardest thing to swallow, pretending you don't miss me" meaning that even though they didn't break up, he deffinetly distanced himself from her and she's pretending to not notice/care. "While letting you in I'll be thinkng of tomorrow and evey time we cross those lines, you've got that seed in you" means that hes's thinking about his future with her and knowing that she'll cheat on him again because she's already crossed those lines and "has the seed" in her. "As I walk away I hope you're the one that finds me out" meaning he finally let her go and he hopes she figures out why. This is the first time I completely disected a song, so I'm sorry if it's laughable =) |

This is one of my favorite songs, but it kind of confuses me. I think maybe thease two people were very close and important to one another, whether they were friends, a couple, siblings, whatever, and maybe the first person, who I'm guessing is a guy, hurt the girl, or did something to her that she won't ever forget or forgive, and even though he wants to make it better, he knows that everything he was accused of was correct and couldn't be fixed. Something happened I think that caused them both to end up dead. I think the girl died with sadness and pain in her heart still because her and the guy never fixed the problem that occured between them and the guy died feeling guilty because he wasn't able to express to the girl that he was sorry and that he loved her. That's just the impression I get from the song, and I'm probably wrong, but that's what I think. |
