This song I think is it pretty obvious. It's about material possessions, and our obsession with them. It's saying why care so much about what we have when it will sooner or later be dust. You should believe in something more than your possessions because sooner or later they won't be with you and your faith is with you forever. I love how Dustin's lyrics never say anything about what to believe in they just tell you to believe. They are very biblical, but I don't think they should be said to be strictly Christian as so many people say they are. Thrice really makes me feel like some people believe ,like me, no matter what your religion if you believe you are going to be just fine. I mean belief is strong, stronger than a lot of things. That is why Thrice lyrics are so strong because they are so spiritual. We all have a spirit don't we? So we can all connect with his lyrics. They make me feel good and they keep my faith holding strong. They made me really rethink my faith, and helped me overcome some obstacles in my faith. I'm not necessarily christian, but I do believe in God. Thank you Thrice for your wonderful music. |

Well obviously it is a spiritual song, but it doesn't have to be christian necessarily. I mean to me this song is talking about how religion can give you a peace of mind. Dustin is very biblical in a lot of his songs, obviously, and this is why people say it's just a straight forward christian song. I am no great christian going to church every Sunday, but I do believe in a God. This song just makes me feel that life is good, and that there is something else that helps me get through. I think we shouldn't judge a song because it is about something a person believes in. This song is amazing Thrice has evolved so much from there post-punk. That is what makes them one of my favorite bands. I mean it takes a lot of courage to make a blues folk song when you are a hard rock band. Anyways all I can say is amazing job, amazing song, amazing band. |

Anyways this song I think is about the injustices in the world and how no one will step up to take the blame how our world leaders don't care. I'm too lazy to read through all the comments but from the ones I did read first of claudio's curfew is at nine or 21:00 he came back at 21:13 to see all of his siblings dead by the hands of his father and that is when he runs away (the song everything evil tells the story of coheed killing them). Well this song as has been said is a dream or flashback like sequence. Claudio is looking back at everything and the death of his siblings thats what I read from it. Anyways amazing song favorite cd for sure. Definite nod to Rush's 2112. |

This song is one of my favorite from the cd which is also amazing as is chevelle. I think it is kind of a post apocalyptic like thing because a blank earth and the beginning it seems like water is hard to come by. also the whole "Where is the mother figure While I'm here" kind of sounds like there may be nobody looking over anybody just people fending for themselves but that is just my interpretation. This songs is amazing i love troy's singing in it it just pulls it together and Scott Kelly doesn't do too bad of a job either, yah this is about Brann's sister and how he didn't want her to go away. Secondly it is about Rasputin's spirit (with the boy's soul) going through the crack in the skye this is rasputin's last effort to bring the boy back to his body. |

This i believe is about a marriage that fell apart or one of them died ("I thought until death meant" kind of like until death do we part) but I think it is an amazing song. Really it is a great song to try to cope with your feelings something about it makes me happy. Sevendust does make amazing acoustic songs I must admit I like there acoustic sometimes a lot better than there super heavy even though I do love it. |
