I am Where It Takes Me (feat. Johnette Napolitano) Lyrics

It's all I see, It's all I see.
Please take it away.
It's holding me, it's holding me.
Please take it away.
It's more than me, it's more than me.
Please take it away.
It's killing me, it's killing me.
Please take it away.

I run, it follows
I speak, it swallows
I am where it takes me.
I love, it breaks me.

It's under me, it's under me.
Please take it away.
It's watching me, it's watching me.
Please take it away.
It's touching me, it's touching me.
Please take it away.
It's just like me, it's just like me.
Please take it away.

I run, it follows
I speak, it swallows
I am where it takes me.
I love, it breaks me.

Honestly...I think it's just about the journey of life. "I am where it takes me." Life, our experiences both good and bad, is what molds us into what we are today. To me this song is basically taking the good, the bad, the cherished, and most horrid memories into one...and trying to create something therapeutic.

I like to look at it as a reflection of who we are.

hahaha actually after reading it disregard my last comment i think it is more about something that really tears your soul up and no matter what it is there and always will be like a relationship i mean the words sound like something i am going through right now sooooer yah

I think it's about understanding, seeing the world through to the core. Though it could mean responsibility of being an example to someone.

It's all I see, It's all I see. -the truth, responsibility

Please take it away. -in another song he said "ignorance was bliss." responsibility, too.

It's holding me, it's holding me. -understanding, the truth, responsibility would hold you back from doing certain things or it would hold your attention

It's more than me, it's more than me. -the world, truth, the example you give to someone

It's killing me, it's killing me. -understanding, responsibility

This is a song about an addiction.. It's all I see....It's holding me... Please take it away. His drug is all he thinks about. Consuming him. He knows this. He knows it's killing him. Yet wherever else he has to go to get his fix is where he will end up and that could be ANYWHERE. He tries to run but there's no escape. He wants someone/thing to take away the hold it has over him but knows this will never happen. His addiction will always be there. Lingering in the shadow, waiting for him to break. He will forever and always be one decision away from hell. That he loves and hates, equal measures

I wonder what it is? Maybe it's Wes's reflection?

Anyone else think this band's songs are extremely trippy? I've never tried Heroine before and I dont plan on it, but i feel like if I tried Heroine it would be just like a Black Light Burns song. Especially this song, it trips me out.

Seems like it might be about some form of mental illness. Depression, schizo, etc.

It's about being stuck. Could be anything. It's about seeing the reality you want to have behind the glass of the reality you're currently living in. It could be a crappy job, abusive relationship, addiction, depression, etc.

If you've ever been stuck without an escape you know exactly what it means.
