he is saying stop playing the game of life and make it your own, hence the song title and the repeating line our own way, im all for metaphor but this seems an almost literal explanation into the writers mind "Despised imitators plagiarized dictators claims are false" to me says that all the people that have ever been in power never truly had their own life they were bound by the rules of society and were forced into the worldwide game everything seems to be anymore "Consuming time to run in place Thoughts intertwined can't navigate And lose our way" seems to mean that we are just wasting time anymore because we arent learning for ourselves anymore its just knowledge piled up from more caches of knowledge and the person who figured this out is forgotten, people shouldnt be fed information because they will take it as the undoubtable truth the only thing that comes to mind from that part is nothing is taken only permitted whihc means we only know what those before or ahead of us want us to know so we must gather as much as we can and pick the truth we want |

| its about drug addiction and self control, and it is a day by day process and youve already decided before what your gonna do, the line " we can if we want to, lead you from behind you" is talking about support for addiction and how its not put in front of you it just pushes you on and how that never really works the person has to want to change not be led around by others thats why most people out of rehab relapse is because they were forced through it instead of deciding for themselves | |

the one line that sticks out in my mind here is i saw the silver lining hidden in a mushroom cloud and as much metaphor as filth uses i believe he really meant that the nuke is our saving grace because it would get rid of society as we know it and force us to start anew and repave our way through life and time and i say that first part because of the many religious references present in this song like some1 mentioned there is a lot, more than usual, of them present and to me says these religions or ideals need to leave us before we can advance from our industrial, political, and worldly stand still |

i believe its calling all religions false i am death incarnate here to bring ruin to the false prophets and make way for a real religion also he is calling religion incredibly dangerous as history proves and i dont believe hes trying to say hes the anit-christ but that is how religion would see him for speaking such "blasphemy" dani filth is one ofthe few remaining poets in this world and i mean his ability for adept wordplay and he has a very defined sense of focus something many would be writers have trouble with over time and cradle just seems to get better the longer they go on unlike many bands |

if i remember from some interviews with john davis he said the first album is mostly about him growing up and how he was an outcast and this song shows what he merely wished he could do, because everyone was "afraid" of him or avoided him this didnt physically manifest itself its like a deep dark insight into all the teenage angst and hatred john davis had in school and looking at it that way can make him seem creepy, sadistic, or flat out sick, but the truth is its a real emotion, wanting another to suffer because you were wronged in some way is a very real feeling many people experience and John Davis is even more godlike for putting that out there also the self titled was a very extremely daring album to have out for the first album, because songs like divine clown and daddy are among the darkest songs john davis ever wrote in my opinion and issues is a very dark album but to me just cant compare to the self titled and i say daring about the album because many americans despise such ideas as those and prefer to just "sweep it under the rug" then deal with the darker parts of life Thank you John Davis, you didnt eliminate the outcast's but you gave them hope, in a dark and understanding way, something we needed |

mushroomhead has always had a great cult following of listeners and to me it honestly seems like hes calling for revolution amongst the public masses, and not some crazy radical thing he wants something new "i hope you like you like what you done to me, drown in your misery" saying everything is dull and the mundane will drown the fiber of your being also the new singer is amazing he almost sounds like the old one and does justice to everything mushroohead stands for |
