You know what? I like how respectful you were in that post. I'm not going to post any of my own views or anything else, just to stay neutral. Just stay curious and keep seeking out truth in everything. |

The chorus and the breakdown are incredible. I don't know who the "you" is in this song, or perhaps it changes. But the chorus is about how followers of Christ may be few and scattered, but we should speak of His death and the glorious meaning of His ressurection. That's what jumps out at me. |

When I read the lyrics to this song I got chills. I think it's pretty straightforward what it means. Life's a struggle but you have to keep pushing through. |

SilentHero, most religions must be wrong because most religions say they are the only true religion. It's not ignorant or closed-minded, it's logic. And about all religions being the same, everything seems the same when you broaden the idea enough. That's like saying frogs and horses are basically the same thing because they're both animals. Most religions do have drastically different views if you look at the foundations that hold them up.
However I do agree with you about a band's audience. Listening to a certain genre doesn't make you a part of their beliefs. |

Christianity is not what you all think though. It's just corrupt people in the system. People who just grew up in church, thought they had an idea what it was about, and became money makers with clever facades. Christianity is truly about love. I recommend reading the articles on this website to figure out what Christianity is actually supposed to be. http://www.comereason.org/contents.asp |

I'm pretty sure this is about someone who has fallen away (Title of the song) and has been injured (emotionally more probable than physically). God offers them comfort that they don't have to suffer alone, and the suffering will not last forever. Don't cry because God is with you. Take your second chance. |

Sulfur is a disgusting smelling element, signifying the disgusting secular views people spin onto everything.
Atmosphere just means the things around you.
Factories make things. Factories just means us, the people making the mistakes that the singer says the clouds are fragments of.
"We're composing our funeral songs note by note" We're killing ourselves with our own sinful human thoughts.
Prove him wrong that we aren't killing ourselves. |

I agree completely with chelsrouk. "Gasp for the truth you once lived" (I always thought he said "loved") is explaining that the Truth is what you should live off of, like you live from breathing air. Always keep focus and don't let anything get you down, because God is waiting beyond this world. |

It seems anti-Christian to me. Or just overall anti-religion. I disagree with these lyrics. Not my will but His be done. |

| Haste the Day – 68 Lyrics

I think the song is about how people only have themselves to blame for their sins. "I am my own disease" is a perfect example of that. The song also explains how we should be true to God and carry out his will to the end (We will fall to ruin - end of the race). They beg for God's light to be shed on them.
But the main theme I think is how the only person the singer is blaming is himself: "I am my own disease", "Messenger of my disgrace", and "[Obsession to] Destroy everything [God] creates". These are things we all struggle with. I know I struggle with controlling my urge to sin. |

Hey, MetalMuch. If you do happen to come by and read this:
I don't see much of a point for music to exist if it doesn't have a meaning. That's like life without any goals. What would you live/sing for, if not a heartfelt message or meaning? |
