wow.
i love how relatable this song is too.
liking and being liked by someone genuinely, helps you to feel like you're actually worth it, which in turn makes you want to do good things and makes you feel like a better person for it. they help you to let go of fear and feel like you're the best person you can be and i think for the most part that's what everyone wants.
my personal favorite lines....

what a fun song! and a great way to just let out the way you feel about a person upon meeting. it's so groovy you almost can't even help but get up and dance to it. a subject so simple yet lyrically brilliant, but i would expect no less from that man. |

This song, to me, is talking about someone's yearning for that other person to feel the same way for them as they do about that person. He's talking about how he can't keep his feelings for them a secret anymore but he also couldn't bear it if it didn't turn out how he hoped. I think this happens to a lot of people so it makes the song really relatable. Everything and everyone are changing constantly and sometimes it's hard to feel like you're standing on solid ground but you feel like you could not only stand but carry that other person and want to if they would only share their love with you.
Beautiful lyrics complimented by a beautiful voice like Darren Hayes's just makes it that much better. |

it's not that hard to understand. this song means exactly what it says. "don't dwell" meaning, lagging around in your past experiences, good or bad, doesn't get you anywhere in life. just go with it and don't let anyone affect how you feel about you or what/who you care about. only you need to appreciate you and you don't need anyone else's consent. if you can't do that, you're in for a miserable ride, "that will leave you in hell". how can that be your favorite song if you don't know what it means? |
