Feel Lyrics

You teach me how to feel
It feels alright
There's nothing left to fear
Finding myself
The further I go
Towards you

To teach me how to love
Parts of myself
I hated for so long
Loving myself through loving you
I no longer live like a man in the dark
Hiding all the pieces of my broken heart
Way up high I'm holding on
Way up high I'm holding on to you

You teach me to fogive
It feels alright
Compassion for your pain
Compassion for mine
The circle divides
I no longer live like a man in the dark
Holding all the pieces of my broken heart
Way up high I'm holding on
Way up high I'm holding on to you
Way up high I'm holding on
Way up high I'm holding to you

Sweet simple song, Darren says that it was inspired by John Lennon-Yoko Ono's way of writing...in which one sentence is completed by the next one...Listen to it and you'll see what I mean!!

Yes, a very very amazing song, just like everything Darren has ever created. I love this style of writing, he uses it again with "Ego".

wow. i love how relatable this song is too. liking and being liked by someone genuinely, helps you to feel like you're actually worth it, which in turn makes you want to do good things and makes you feel like a better person for it. they help you to let go of fear and feel like you're the best person you can be and i think for the most part that's what everyone wants. my personal favorite lines.... "loving myself through loving you" "compassion for your pain compassion for mine" and with very few sounds. brilliant!

This album came around the same time when I broke up, in Pune, India. It was 2004. I remember listening to this album and crying for days. This means so much to me, it is hard to describe. Every single line evokes a memory, even to this day.
