| Bob Dylan – You Changed My Life Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Thank you for that! Alterations are done and done! There were several verses I didn't include, I see! Not purposeful, I assure you. It is a truly great song. There are so few out there who can measure up to Dylan's writing talents. | |

| Hello there! My apologies! I had no intent to leave out any lyrics. My discovery of this song came from a mix CD given to me a few years ago. The version doesn't have certain lines which I have seen transcribed on other lyrics websites. I would be happy to add any that are missing. I just need to know at which point in the song they are. :-) | |

Lil Wayne sucks so bad in this. Drake and Kanye are decent. Eminem is the shit and makes the whole song worthwhile. |

| Bob Dylan – A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Hello! Bob Dylan often would use contractions like that in his songs, I guess to shorten the line of the song or to make it easier to sing. If it were written correctly, it would be, "It is a hard rain that is going to fall". The word "rain" is very rarely pluralized with an apostrophe and an 'S' like it is here, even when it is being used as a verb. It was in this sentence though to replace the word "is" to simply it. I hope this makes sense! Best of luck with your project, it sounds like a great idea! |

This song is beautiful. =] Very self-explanatory and meaningful. |

| Shinedown – What a Shame Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
^ Interesting. That makes sense. He was close to him but he must have been looked down upon by others because he wasn't the same as them. That's true in many situations. People don't always see the same good side of a person that you do and it can be heartbreaking. Some are so quick to judge that they never care to truly know how another person REALLY is. |

| Shinedown – Sound of Madness Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Good song! It sounds like the official anthem against idiots who like to sulk around in their own self-pity and do NOTHING to try to keep going and move past it. People always drum up their own boring sob stories about themselves and how traumatizing their pain is but there are other's who have gone through so much more and still made it through because they chose to. It leaves others wondering when they're going stop and just "wake up and fight". |

| Shinedown – Devour Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
It does sound more like he's referring to Bush and Iraq than anything else. It really wouldn't make sense otherwise. In that case, for once, I can actually say I like it. Most songs have ignorant, bitter lyrics about politics that tick me off but this seems to have more substance to it because there's truth to it. |

| Chamillionaire – The Evening News Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
^ I agree, he doesn't come across that way most of the time. I like him and he really is one of the better rappers around. However, this song is a different story. It is pretty whiny and ignorant sounding. It's like he's just being contrary to everything for the sake of being contrary. It's one thing to point out the injustice that there still is towards blacks but some of lines in this song don't align with that at all. They're just whiny and unnecessary. The complaint that the hip-hop industry is still so persecuted is getting old. Of course there are doubts about it considering its history, but the reception of it isn't nearly as bad as it used to be. And his complaints about Kobe, O.J. and Snoop Dogg? No one wants to hear excuses being made about guys like them who did wrong and were disrespected for it. No one wants to hear that they were unfairly accused just because they're black. That's such crap. No matter what race, if anyone else had done what they did, they would have been looked down upon just as much. The dumb political statements in addition to all of that doesn't help any either. His remark about Obama? What the heck? Obama probably IS going to be the next president so how is he going to backpedal away from saying the "White House is going to stay white'? And people say that whites are the ones who keep dragging the topic of race into that election? Yeah right. Chamillionaire really isn't helping anybody by writing a song like this. (Sorry, I never intended for this to be so long. Haha.) |

| Priscilla Ahn – Opportunity To Cry Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I love this song. :) It was originally written by Willie Nelson. It's kind of a sad song and his version was very depressing, so I like this more upbeat twist that she put on it. It's a pretty simple song about being left disappointed by people that you love and them giving you a reason or opportunity to cry and how often, even though they've been hurtful and disappointing, you still care about them but don't understand why. |

| Coldplay – Viva la Vida Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Amazing song. I think that this is generally about leaders who fell from power during significant times. Ones who basked in the glory they seemed to have in their power and influence but eventually ended up failing. They had it all but in one moment, their pride and the vengeance of others cost them it all. They lost everything and their fate ended up no differently than the fate of those they use to rule over. |

| The Rocket Summer – All I Have Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I LOVE THIS SONG. The message generally is just that you have a lot more influence than you might think. People are always watching you and are always going to hear what you say and see how you react to things. If you have a bad attitude and it shows in your words and reactions, people are going to see that and be influenced in some way. Henceforth, "Collapse onto your side, so rise and make it right" All that we have is who we are. We have to remember that and work hard to keep our hearts and attitudes in the right place. Not only for ourselves, but for the benefit of others as well. |

| Ferras – Hollywood Is Not America Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Amazing song. People put so much focus into Hollywood and the people within it without realizing the reality of it all. The fact is, most of those people have very little joy in life. They might enjoy the ride for awhile, but in the end, it leaves them empty because they aren't living for anything other than money and themselves. Hollywood should never dictate what America is because it rises up to so much more than shallowness and greed. |

Great song. It's the good, rational message of how you have to accept how unfortunate or troubling things in life can be. |

| Creed – What If Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"I feel I've been beaten down By the words of men who have no grounds I can't sleep beneath the trees of wisdom When your ax has cut the roots that feed them" "Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you've been walked on" Truer words were never spoken. I've always liked this song. It's a good, realistic interpretation of those who vindicate others. The ones who never consider if their prideful thinking is justified or not, and the ones who never consider what the consequences of the others possible revenge may be. |

| Lenny Kravitz – God Save Us All Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Good song. The world is in such a dire state and I think this song is inspired by it. Humanity is every person in the world and while we all no matter what our circumstances are can do something to help better the places that surround us. Yet, people waste their opportunity to make a difference by being selfish and then people aren't unified. There isn't any way the problems in the world will be solved unless people come together and can find a solution together. It sounds sappy/cliche but it's true. People need to step up and do what they can or else life will slowly continue to become more difficult for literally everyone. Truth be told, years have gone by and no enormous problems have been resolved so sometimes the last thing you can do is hope that God saves us all. |

| Wyclef Jean – Sweetest Girl (Feat. Akon, Lil' Wayne, Niia) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I'm pretty sure this song is taken entirely out of context 94% of the time. If you watch the music video, it centers around an immigrant refugee camp and the story is based on a girl who is told she'll be deported back to her country. She then sets the camp on fire and in the end, Wyclef helps her escape. And in the video of the remixed version of the song, there's one part where they're holding a Haitian flag (where Wyclef is from.) I think the idea that she's a prostitute and has a child is correct. It's obvious though that she's an illegal immigrant and she needed money but the overall greed of others in general halted her. It's supposed to point towards how she needed money, but others just want it and don't mind shoving her down to get it. I think the general idea is how having a hard of life as an immigrant drove a good person ("She used to be the sweetest girl") to an extreme that she had to do to stay alive. |

| Nickelback – Rockstar Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I hate this song. When I first heard it, it seemed okay because at the time, I figured the intention was AGAINST the lifestyle of "rockstars." Listening to it again, (and again and again, thanks to the repetitive nature of radio stations) and reading the lyrics, I see that it isn't. If anyone thinks that condoning the idiotic, greedy and prideful things that they mention in this song, then that's pretty unfortunate and moronic of Nickelback to promote such an attitude about it. NICKLEBACK! ENCOURAGING MATERIALISM AND ROMANTICIZING DRUGS, MONEY AND SEX SINCE 1995! |
