i think this song is about just taking time off of the busy schedule of everyday life to realize the beauty that surrounds us. this song is about Billie Joe coming clean to himself about being bi....if ya know yer shit then ya know he admitted to it. This song was written long before he admitted it to the public, but what's to say he didn't admit it to himself earlier? n i think that it kinda proves the song is about being gay or bi with the line "skeletons come to life in my closet" |

i think the end might be wrong? to me it sounds like he says "what a great day to die" not "way" but i'm not positive.
the end tho is simply his way of saying "i know you're cheating on me so don't tell me you love me"
