Punk Rock 101 Lyrics
She works at Hot Topic
His heart microscopic
She thinks that it's love
But to him, it's sex
He listens to emo, but Fat Mike's his hero
His bank account's zero
What comes next?
Same song, different chorus
It's stupid, contagious
To be broke and famous
Can someone please save us from Punk Rock 101?
My Dickies, your sweatbands
My spiked hair, your new Vans
Let's throw up our rock hands for Punk Rock 101
She bought him a skateboard
A rail slide, his knee tore
He traded it for drums at the local pawn shop
She left him for staring at girls and not caring
When she cried cause she thought Bon Jovi broke up
Same song, second chorus
It's stupid, contagious
To be broke and famous
Can someone please save us from Punk Rock 101?
My Dickies, your sweatbands
My spiked hair, your new Vans
Let's throw up our rock hands for Punk Rock 101
Don't forget to delay on the very last word
Seven years later, he works as a waiter
She married a trucker and he's never there
The story never changes
Just the names and faces
Like Tommy and Gina, they're living on a prayer
Did you just say that?
I said
It's stupid, contagious
To be broke and famous

I think its a cool song, its punk, its punk for them anyway. If you say that punk is whatever you say it is, then you're not punk, your a close minded loser. A professor who says darwins theory's are crackpot, THATS PUNK. An old black lady who doesnt want to give up her seat on the bus to some white person, THATS PUNK. Tackling midgets and getting drunk for no reason, doing drugs, that stuff is stupid, but if you like it, more power to you. So what if they sing about girls, if you dont like it, dont listen to it.
I always thought it was them taking the piss out of all the stereotypes of punk rock "my dickies, your sweat bands, my spiked hair, your new vans..." and the punk rock songs "don't forget to delay/on the very last word"
i love bfs..this song is hilarious..but i wouldnt mind being saved from punk rock 101 so i can wear these clothes without feeling like a poser. but oh well, i doubt that will happen soon
i dont know why, but to me, this song seems like it's a spoof of Skater Boy by Avril Lavigne. I dont know what song was written first, but either way, if you really think about it, it seems like a spoof. But a hell of a lot better than anything Ms. Lavigne ever "wrote".
if a bands song list, includes more than 3% of songs about girls, THEYRE NOT PUNK. I dont care what anyone says. When you sing about chicks all the time, it's not a punk song.
it may not be a punk song but they still might be punk i mean everyone (who SAYS they're punk)keeps saying it's not just the music but also the way of life.. ahhhh nevermind conclusion: it's hard to be punk(not that i want to be one)
is this song saying that the punk lifestyle is not good? cause if they did then they would be denying that they are punk, cause they arent. good good. i was dissapointed when i saw this song because i thought that it was bowling for soup saying what punk is, but obviously, it isnt.
yeah, this song is awesome, the second verse was definitely my favorite, and I love how they make fun of Bon Jovi a ton, sweet...
hahahahahahahahahahaha... i love dis song bfs is soooo funnny xD
good song, not to bad but yet again i'm gonna have to say its not really punk, its party or to really say what i think, POSER -si
its cool
