Sheeba, why do you think its "about someone who feels they cannot be with another person", I always thought it was about someone who loved someone but maybe was travelling and thinking about them and looking at their picture at night, well that's what I came up with anyway, I should get more sleep. |

This song is a cover of a Neil Young song from his self titled album, Neil Young. I really like the Bowie version, it completely reinvents the song and makes it really edgy. Personally I think its about a man who is lonely and wants someone (and for some strange reason I'm guessing a woman) to help him get through what ever ordeals he is facing, I certainly could use that. |

Zaphod borg (sci-fi fan maybe) is probably right aout the drugs, the imagery is quite confusing I think panthers and robin hood smoking a ciggarette are probably metaphorical (yes, I am like a young sherlock holmes or to a lesser extent nancy drew) it reminds me of the terry gilliam film fear and loathing in las vegas in which Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro stagger around in drug induced stupours, maybe it could have been used in the soundtrack, in fact why wasn't it? Gilliam, this is a major oversight... |
