well i have two opinions. at first i agreed with dialtoneeee with the idea of it being suicide because the chorus could fit that perfectly. but looking at the rest of the song and the chorus together i think it has something to do with his gf or some one close to him leving him To believe somebody could pay for mistakes I so carelessly made (he messed up the relationship?)
