| The Receiving End Of Sirens – Flee The Factory Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The 2nd comment by hydraulic_heart is so wrong. Their songs do not have shallow meanings. I can understand the robot idea in that everyone tries to be the same and its almost as if their robots but the whole concept of this album is breaking out of old habits, and changing into who you want to be... hint Flee the Factory. | |
| The Receiving End Of Sirens – A Realization of the Ear Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I never really noticed the words in this song. I finally really listened to it with the lyrics and its great! I guess the father is wishing that the son either "stays small" or in the womb or to bring on his grave becuas ehe doesn't want to see his child go through what he did... | |
| The Receiving End Of Sirens – The Salesman, The Husband, The Lover Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I really like this this a lot! Those last lines about what the son has inherited really does send chills as -ZERO- mentioned above. | |
| The Dear Hunter – Vital Vessels Vindicate Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think now he's trying to say goodbye to the memories of her and the pain he felt but he knows that there will be many more who fall into her trap. 'Goodbye, my eyes shed heavy tears One for every soul still sitting on the fence between pain and arrogance' -Theres going to be someone else caught in that lust and love feeling... this songs pretty cool! I like it. I really like this line, it says a lot. |

'Dear Ms. Leading I hate to tell you that I no longer need your services' -HE'S ENDING IT 'A bitter fabricating manufacturer of lust You have been presented as' -HE REALIZES IT WAS HER JOB TO GIVE HIM THOSE FEELINGS 'It doesn’t do a thing for me, I now know your identity A black widow who temps the gray with promises of love' -AGAIN, HE SEES WHAT SHE REALLY IS NOW. 'IF IGNORANCE IS BLISS, WISH I WAS BLISSFULLY IGNORANT' -Great line!! ANOTHER LINE: The line that says 'Shame on me for falling for someone SO DENSE' I think he really says 'Shame on me for falling for someone FORBIDEN' -HE REALIZES HIS FEELINGS SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN. |

| The Dear Hunter – Where The Road Parts Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Its ironic how I fall just to get back up again A fix to cure this ailing bitter agony Maybe where the roads part you remember where we first met So tongue and cheek with stale irony, if it pleases you it pleases me Just an innocent call a telephone call Just an innocent call Now if you were in bloom I’d pluck your petals clean Although it won’t seem so I can promise you my egos running me Then I'd be called you were the only one that didn’t fold But I just broke right down for you in an attempt to gain control Maybe I'm a waste of time A waste of time A waste of time (he starts whispering stuff here?) A Sacrifice is not in line A Sacrifice is not in line You were the only one that didn’t fold. (repeats a few times) |

MasochisticKiss- good job. I totally agree. This isn't a girlfriend of his. I don't know exactly about the mother being the initial hooker but I do believe the songs are about prostitutes and him getting involved with one and lusting over her. I think he starts to realize that the feelings he's having are wrong, which is why after telling her to get to work and take her cloths off he starts to feel quilty (as mentioned in a line of The Bitter Suite Part 1). So then he starts back tracking |

Haha I love this song. I love how they count through the chorus. Good Job PunkRocks64. Here he is again thinking about Ms. Leading. She really gave him something to remember. This whole album seems to be about this lady selling herself. He just happens to fall for her and can't get her off his mind... |

| The Dear Hunter – The Bitter Suite II: Embrace Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
He's still talking about Ms. Leading. the 1st part of Bitter Suite he talks about how he met her and she invited him in. This one talks about what went on once he got in the doors. I love the line 'She had the summer's smile with winter's skin and all along with words beyond me she welcomed me in'. I think what it's saying is on the outside she's just playing the part or going through the motion but the summer smile and welcoming words shows that maybe she really did have a heart and maybe felt something for him that usually isn't felt... Anyway, I love this song. |
