the lyrics in this song are amazing, i dont know how he comes up with ways to write like this. but i read the song like hes condeming society for subdoing people who have ADD by giving them ritalin. they "the man" have basically said people who have more energy or a different learning style dont fit the "mold" we want so lets pump em full of drugs to get the behavior or life style we want out of them.... " The dose to stop your shaking, the one to silence your voice. Just take it and you’ll be fine.
Calm, relaxed, obedient, just the way we want you." he goes on..."No one cares about your identity. Open wide, here it comes. This prescription makes you perfect. " him saying prescription is what makes me think hes talkin about ritalin not illegal drugs. |

this song is sick man. this and back burner own. i think its about a person that has moral convictions but doesnt live by em cause they dont feel like theyr gonna be held accountable for their actions and hes tellin em "The day is soon coming when turning your back won’t be an option."...and then later on that no matter what "in the end you’ll see nothing stands between a man and his maker. " so keep living how your living but in the end youll be held accountable for turning your back on your values. |

"i hope you survive the crash!!" ---- i think the crash is representing him crashing into rock bottom

paints a picture that america has become consumed by a society that wants to be instantly gratified, i think the counting represents seconds "1,2,3". and our kids are growing up in a spolied rotten society that doesnt teach them the benefits of being patient and working hard. |
