| Biffy Clyro – Take Me Out (Franz Ferdinand cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
'take me oot' lol i love the little riff just before the heavy guitar kicks in |

| Biffy Clyro – Machines Lyrics | 18 years ago |
'to lie next to you' - considering that this song is about his mother, could he mean lying in a grave? eg digging holes for graves. also, 'take the pieces and build them skywards' could refer to the 'pieces' mentioned earlier in the album (9/15ths) saying that hes putting them back together, building them skywards (to heaven maybe). if so this could be considered as a relatively optimistic song to close an album about coming to terms with death with, ending on a bright note |

| Biffy Clyro – Folding Stars Lyrics | 18 years ago |

i also saw it at leeds fest, simon looked like he was gonna cry during it, dont blame him really. also, doesnt the first line end in 'yourself' not 'your life' also, does anyone know how his mum died? as this could have some bearing on the interpretation of the song - 'blood drips...' etc |

| Biffy Clyro – Bodies in Flight Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| one of my favourite biffy songs, no idea what it means really, love the guitar part tho | |
| Biffy Clyro – 9/15ths Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| also worth gettin the link between 'falling to pieces' and the album cover, where one of the pieces has fallen off the man, reflects the whole theme of the album really, about simon falling apart after the death of his mother | |
| The (International) Noise Conspiracy – Let's Make History Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"there's a million songs about politics" this song is about actually getting up and protesting/revolting to change something - make history - rather than just talking about it (or writing songs) but then ironically all it seems this is is a song tellin people not to write songs about what this song is about still a good song tho and i like the way its sort of a love song in that its sayin "come on im going to change everything but i cant do it alone" eg "how are we going to make history when you are not here with me?" |
| Biffy Clyro – Strung to Your Ribcage Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"You complete me. When you flirt it makes me nauseous" jealousy in a relationship, everyone must have felt at some point also i love the guitar break between these two lines, its like its the feelings buildin up inside after the first line until he snaps and the flow out into the second |
| Biffy Clyro – My Recovery Injection Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i think its about both drugs and relationships. the first verse is about someone using drugs to escape from things: "ill recover in an empty room, in remission from a real mood', ie escaping from his real mood (miserable/ depressed) to summat better. then, "why cant we hide? our secret lives" someone close to hiim finds out about his drug usage "you hide your scars so well" |

| Biffy Clyro – Christopher's River Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i think song is the same sort of sentiment as '27', except instead of bein between a boy an a girl in a relationship, its about two male friends. i get that from the way it says "our shirt-tails in the wind seems like yesterday my friend" like only men would have shirt tails? i love this song, especially when it kicks in with the heavier guitar (again, sort of like 27) |
| Biffy Clyro – 27 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
from the feel of this song, and obv the names, i think its about the same girl as 57 yeah. 'i love the way your hair/ hangs over your eyes/ touchme with your stare' i love those lines, and the way the guitar sound is dirtier over this bit. |
| Biffy Clyro – All the Way Down: Chapter 2 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i think it is definately about religion, the second verse "his mama tells him, read it and you'll be alright he took its every word and made it his life" makes it sound like his 'mama' has pushed him towards religion by making him read the bible to avouid goin 'all the way down' which i think in this term means hell |
