My Recovery Injection Lyrics
I've been waiting on the overdrive
Slick and polished on the inside
It ruins feeding time
I'll recover in an empty room
In remission from a real mood
Sit down, fuck up and wait your turn
Why can't we hide our secret lives?
Why can't we climb this useless height?
You hide your time so well
Small scars of love
And hate and happiness
You hide your scars so well
Oooh oooh, oooh oooh
I'll recover if you want me to
Dig my way out of a black mood
Wait for the sun to fade
Why can't we hide our useless lives?
You hide your time so well
Small scars of love
And hate and happiness
You hide your scars so well
Oooh oooh, oooh oooh
You hide your time so well
Small scars of love
And hate and happiness
You hide your scars so well
Oooh oooh, oooh oooh
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore (YOU)
And nothing matters anymore (SAY)
And nothing matters anymore (NOTHING)
And nothing matters anymore (YOU)
And nothing matters anymore (SAY)
And nothing matters anymore (NOTHING)
Slick and polished on the inside
It ruins feeding time
In remission from a real mood
Sit down, fuck up and wait your turn
Why can't we climb this useless height?
Small scars of love
And hate and happiness
You hide your scars so well
Oooh oooh, oooh oooh
Dig my way out of a black mood
Wait for the sun to fade
Small scars of love
And hate and happiness
You hide your scars so well
Oooh oooh, oooh oooh
Small scars of love
And hate and happiness
You hide your scars so well
Oooh oooh, oooh oooh
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore
And nothing matters anymore (YOU)
And nothing matters anymore (SAY)
And nothing matters anymore (NOTHING)
And nothing matters anymore (YOU)
And nothing matters anymore (SAY)
And nothing matters anymore (NOTHING)

I love how Scottish he sounds! =D Scottish people rock. Nothing to do with the fact that I am one. shifts eyes I love this song.
I cant believe i am the first person to write about this DAMN EXCELENT song! your all mad if you havnt heard it yet! i think its about breaking up with someone (the usual) and people finding out about it and talking about it? does anyone else think this? it could be all psycological but im too tired to go into that!
still!! please you have to listen to the song! listen to it alright! the album is called "infinity land" oooh no hang on...or is it "land of infinity!" aggh! well yeah listen! and go see em aswell! im going on the 25th feb in london astoria. GO alright! and LISTEN! thanx
I love this song!! It rocks.
I think this song could be about using drugs to forget whats going on in reality. "Small scars of love" sounds like a needle prick and "I've been waiting on the overdrive Slick and polished on the inside" could be about the feeling off just having taken a shot. THere are obviously two subjects of the song and this might be a lover, or simply a friend who doesnt seem to get so many negative effects. I also think the ending of the song is a very emotive way of showing the effect the drugs have: "And nothing matters anymore." I dunno, i just confused myself, but make of it what you will.
I'm sure its defo about drugs, but more about a partner or close one pleading for them to stop it for there own safety, the second verse of it anyway, but some of it seems like he's observing a friend of more experience using the substance and he almost envies or looks up to them. Then that bring us to peer preasure, just say no kids!
The title of this song reminds me of that scene in Pulp Fiction when that girl's ODing and they need to give her that shot to the heart. Its one of my favourite Biffy songs and the line "I'll recover in an empty room." reminds me of the stage of isolation after a break-up where you just sit alone in your room thinking. If you read the song plainly then you'll get the impression of the song being about a recovering drug addict, but if you look a little closer it could be about the end of a relationship, depression and self-harm.
i think its about both drugs and relationships. the first verse is about someone using drugs to escape from things: "ill recover in an empty room, in remission from a real mood', ie escaping from his real mood (miserable/ depressed) to summat better. then, "why cant we hide? our secret lives" someone close to hiim finds out about his drug usage "you hide your scars so well"
