A lot of their songs can look suggestive, that's just how they were, and still are. |

One of the best songs of all time, Phil Anselmo surprised me with what he did vocally in this song. (Then I bought "Power Metal") Absolutely amazing on all levels. |

It's my favorite Motley Crue song, too. This song seems like your run-of-the-mill glam/hair metal song lyrically to me. |

| The Beatles – Back in the U.S.S.R. Lyrics

One of the Beatles best, satirical, play on 50's style music. Back in the 60's, with the Soviet Union making such a threat to the world, a song like this was perfect. |

| Black Sabbath – Sweet Leaf Lyrics

Another Sabbath classic, one of their less "deep" songs, obviously about marijuana. The tobacco thing came as a quick excuse to clear themselves out of any controversy that may follow writing a song about drugs and how they openly do them in 1971.
Apparently, writing a song about marijuana is much worse than writing things they wrote on the first album, you don't hear about anything they did to escape controversy for songs like "Black Sabbath," or "N.I.B." |

| Ozzy Osbourne – Flying High Again Lyrics

He's not "terrible." He's pushing 60, and he's still active in music, it's only natural to lose your voice with age. The song is about drugs "Flying High" being a double meaning for being high. |

It's definitely about a broken relationship. I can't believe it's been 13 years since he died. :( |

| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics

This song sucks, it disgusts me, as does 99% of my generation's music of choice. Does anybody here hate emo as much as I do? (I chose to comment here because it's the absolute epitome of immature terrible pop MTV emo out there.) |

| Black Sabbath – Electric Funeral Lyrics

Great song, I like it (as you can already tell.) It's about the increasing threat of nuclear war and the destruction it would lead to. Pantera's song is a cover, therefore it is not better. There are only 2 or 3 cover songs I know that I would say are better than the originals. |

This song does remind me of Motley Crue, but Sebastian Bach's voice is perfect for this song, maybe not their heaviest, but still a great song. |

Does anybody think that the singers from this band are the worst singers in all of music? If not, sorry, just my opinion. |

The song is eerie, with an undeniable beauty to it. Sweet, smooth acoustic playing by Tony Iommi. |

| Living Colour – Cult of Personality Lyrics

|
A great song. A Cult of Personality is someone who gathers up a fanbase of people, and as this person's popularity begins to rise, the fanbase becomes blind, believing anything the Cult of Personality tells them. I really admire the writer of this song, bringing up controversial people like Kennedy, and Gandhi. |

Good song, Mother Love Bone was best live, explaining this song. Andy Wood felt being on stage was Shangri-La, The Garden of Eden, simply, Heaven on Earth. |

Incredible song, my favorite from Tool and in my opinion, the only great song from 10,000 Days. I think it's about TV desensitizing people, certain television shows *coughs CSI, Law & Order..coughs* show terrible things that shouldn't even be mentioned here. Awesome job, Tool. |

Wow, hard to believe nobody has commented on this track yet. An amazing song, but I can't find a meaning in it anywhere. King's X is truly one of the most underrated, overlooked bands of all time. |

This song was referenced on Family Guy, that's the only reason why I know it. It's not originally by "Taco," but it is catchy. |

Scream, I like the Disturbed cover best as well. Destri, the vocals have more feeling? Anyone can scream into a microphone, singing requires skill. I'm not even sure if he's saying anything...why ruin such a good song?! |

I too think that it's about America's decision to attack (go to war, send troops etc.) at every chance we have. A good track. |

| Black Sabbath – Into The Void Lyrics
|
|
It's about mankind's destruction of its planet and complete disregard of the issue (at the time.) This song is only proving more true as time progresses. As for Soundgarden's cover, it should be counted as plagiarism, they stole the song but altered the lyrics entirely. |

| Black Sabbath – War Pigs (Alternate) Lyrics

|
True, Iduke88. This version was also preformed live in Paris in 1970, one of Sabbath's best concerts. As with the alternate version of "Black Sabbath," it's darker lyrically. I remember hearing on Uranium that Ozzy claimed to have been "stoned" during this recording of the song, which may explain the hint of evil/satanism in the lyrics. Also, any "die-hard" Sabbath fan should know that Geezer Butler is responsible for the Satanism element of Black Sabbath. |

Freddie Mercury and Brian May were perfect together, especially in this song. I agree with PaleVengeance, the main "attraction" of this song is the guitar. |

| Adema – Nutshell Lyrics

I was excited when I heard about this cover, but disappointed upon first hearing it. Good for them for covering Alice in Chains, but they should have done a more fitting song. If anyone actually came here looking for the meaning, it's about the toll fame takes on people, how fame and fortune have a downside, lack of privacy. |

Stream is correct about the meaning. It does, in fact, sound so Sabbathy, that it has been mistaken for a Black Sabbath song on many occasions. |
