We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
And yet I fight
And yet I fight
This battle all alone
No one to cry to
No place to call home
Oooh...Oooh...
Oooh...Oooh...
My gift of self is raped
My privacy is raked
And yet I find
And yet I find
Repeating in my head
If I can't be my own
I'd feel better dead
Oooh...Oooh...
Oooh...Oooh...
We face the path of time
And yet I fight
And yet I fight
This battle all alone
No one to cry to
No place to call home
Oooh...Oooh...
Oooh...Oooh...
My gift of self is raped
My privacy is raked
And yet I find
And yet I find
Repeating in my head
If I can't be my own
I'd feel better dead
Oooh...Oooh...
Oooh...Oooh...

this song was originaly done by Allice in Chains
I haven't heard the original song but I do actually like this song. I like the long introduction and the aaaah, aaaahs and the solo fading at the end.
Not a BAD song.
Yeah, Alice In Chain originally did this song. I don't know if it's just me, but I personally don't think the voice of the lead singer in Adema really captures what this song is... it's just not something Adema should have really covered. My opinion only, of course.
I agree with you gloomba, they shouldn't of covered this song.
I was excited when I heard about this cover, but disappointed upon first hearing it. Good for them for covering Alice in Chains, but they should have done a more fitting song. If anyone actually came here looking for the meaning, it's about the toll fame takes on people, how fame and fortune have a downside, lack of privacy.
possibly one of thE worst cover songs i have ever heard. not an alice and chains fanboy or anything but come on, every rocker knows how this songs supposed to sound, and it sounds terribly wrong.
