| of Montreal – Just Recently Lost Something of Importance Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I personally think the ending is really sad. Like, this guy pours out his heart about how he feels, but in the end the world just goes on being happy without him. | |
| of Montreal – Panda Bear Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Because when you compare it to the others, this one just comes up shorthanded. But it's still very good. |
| Bob Dylan – Just Like a Woman Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Anyone considered this being about Bob having sex with a menstruating woman? The 'rain' could be blood. |
| Bat for Lashes – What's A Girl To Do Lyrics | 17 years ago |
When I saw the ghost holding the helium balloons in the video, I couldn't help but laugh. It was great. This is a really beautiful song, and though I never really cared much for Bat For Lashes, actually LISTENING to this song in my brother's car made me want more. I think I might go buy the CD for myself. |

| of Montreal – Art Snob Solutions Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Today I was leaning against the fridge in the bakery I work in, and I looked at my hand, and I was like, damn. I can make this hand move whenever I want it to. And to prove it, I made a circle in the air. And then I noticed that I was breathing, and realized that the air was being converted to carbon dioxide in my lungs. And I thought damn, I'm doing that. And I sat like that for a good two minutes, just breathing, just moving my left hand. And I thought to myself, damn, I'm alive. | |
| of Montreal – Vegan in Furs Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love how Satanic Panic ends with this song, and Sunlandic Twins starts with Art Snob Solutions. They go together so perfectly. Although this isn't as obviously crammed full of intellectual references, I believe there are still a few. For example, Solipsism is the belief that only one's own self exists. (that's all I could identify, but then I'm not exactly overtly educated, nor will I pretend to be.) |

| of Montreal – Erroneous Escape Into Eric Eckles Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Great for the closing shift at work. I find this song a little creepy, only since I've had a conversation with a friend with a lot of the same words.. 'I'm not depressed. I'm hesitant. I don't know what I want, this life is too boring.' We were discussing him not taking his Zoloft. I know, it's a long ass stretch, but maybe this song is about a depressed friend? |

| of Montreal – Will You Come and Fetch Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I was doing the beep test and I was singing this song under my voice all the while, and I made it to level thirteen. I usually barely manage a level ten. Thanks, Kevin. |
| of Montreal – Wraith Pinned to the Mist (And Other Games) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I saw the video for this on MuchMusic and nearly jumped out of my seat. Of Montreal's on their way to reaching the mainstream? |
| Ike Reilly – Hip Hop Thighs #17 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It's almost commiserable how attractive this song is when you're high. I've had fun screaming it at no one in particular. |
| of Montreal – The Past Is a Grotesque Animal Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Sorry panda, but it's definitely 'discussing'. Listen closely, it's pretty lucid. |
| Youth Group – Happiness' Border Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Found this on a forgotten CD--the anti-hit list. My lord, I love it. The meaning of this song tickles me, it seems so obvious, but I can't grasp it fully. Yeah, he likes her, she gets married to someone else because she thinks she should, but feels somewhat palpitated about it. He doesn't feel too gall. But I think there must be something else to it. Hidden, you know? |
| An Pierlé – Are Friends Electric (Gary Numan Cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
What is it she says between the first 'Are my friends electric' and 'So I open the door'? Great song, by the way. No idea what it means. |

| Bob Dylan – Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it's definitely about racial intolerance. 'They'll stone you when you're trying to keep your seat' Rosa Parks. That's the one that really stood out, but think about it. Especially in 1966, the whole anti-segregation thing was still new. And Dylan is talking about it. |
| of Montreal – The Past Is a Grotesque Animal Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| Peter, Paul and Mary – Lemon Tree Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I remember in the fourth grade, My teacher made us all sit and memorize the words to this song. He said to always keep them close by, that they are the only words that matter. Man, he was a creeper. |
| 31 Knots – Thousand Wars Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| 31 Knots – Hearsay Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| beautiful | |
| 31 Knots – Intuition Imperfected Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is my all-time favourite 31knots song. I don't know, something about the drums and the vocals and the melodrama makes everything feel so good. I can't wrap my finger around the meaning(who can with these guys?) but whatever it is, it sure made one hell of a great song. | |
