Its self-explanatory, marauders sent by the king of the land to collect taxes from peasants. Not only did they take money, they set fires to villages and fields, raping and killing everything in their path, leaving nothing but sorrow and pain behind. Apparently one of those marauders once lived in a village and insanity overcame him as destruction went on and "burned" his sins away with burning his previous home.

Meh, I had my last day of state testing and got a chance to listen to this song after. I thought that this song was about betrayal, having close friends stab you in the back and no matter how hard you try to make amends, people just block you out left and right. There's no end in sight, one person stabs you in the back and its like a domino effect, it just keeps happening and you're starting to lose faith in the people around you, yourself, and everything else. |

No, this song's not about killing your 'nemesis,' its more of a political song when it gets right down to it. Edsel's pretty much stating that people don't know what to believe and they always follow the media and go on a sort of 'crusade' to obliterate and annihilate whatever the media and government are saying is the 'evil' force in the world. Take the Middle East for instance, there are a lot of dumbass Americans who want to nuke the entireity of Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and those countries because the media, one way or another, portrayed that region we're at war with to be wiped off the face of the Earth, and those who are mindless enough to believe all the lies the media tells them, they're the headstrong type who don't even think things through. A wake-up call of sorts. |

Dance of Death is my favorite album, this and Rainmaker are my favorite songs on it. Really doesn't need an explanation, the song title tells it all. This song's close to me, I've lied so much in the past as a dumbass kid and I'm trying to clean myself up and this song helps me a ton. Iron Maiden is clearly one of the best bands to walk this Earth. |

i_am_the_law, the song by The Doors has a similar title, Riders On the Storm, I got mixed up with it when I first saw Riders Of the Storm myself. =p
But as for the song meaning itself, it still puzzles me to a degree. I think, metaphorically, that its a group of people finally taking charge at the nearing end of a war, aiming to change the tide to their side's favor. No matter how much they're oppressed by the other side, whether it be imprisonment, they'll still pursue their destiny of winning said war.
I don't know, I'm not really good with a song's meaning. |

Okay, here's my two cents. This song's about murder, about killing somebody. "Blacken the sun, what have I done?" is probably saying, "After dark, what have I done?" and "I feel so bad, I feel so numb" possibly means "Oh my fucking God, I just did this.. I can't feel anything right now I'm so horrified." Then when it goes to "I feel so good I feel so numb yeah", the feeling of "numb" is a fake high, an adrenaline rush of murder. I dunno, I think this song is based around this.. I could be so totally wrong. |

This album was canceled due to Spider thinking that AFD? sounded too much like TTSR!, and I guess this song's actually saying that it did. "Now look who's comin' yeah look who's back" pretty much gives it away for me. That and TTSR! had pretty much a heavy kind of sound to it with a touch of sci-fi-ness and I guess this song did too. Bombshell's a fucking crazy song and I love it, but it was just cancelled.. and yeah... |

This is a tricky song to get a 'true' meaning out of honestly. Quoted from Spider himself, "This song is about people in the past that have been in the band and stuff". PM5K has had a lot of lineup leave their group and got a lot of new people, Spider's the only one that's "original" in the band. It's crazy. |
